What do you think of the Eraserheads? I think they're music legends and they are probably the most influential band in the Philippines. I also like Juan de la Cruz Band and Asin, but it's the Eraserheads who had the most impact on me as an OPM band fan. They are probably the most popular band when I was growing up and they still have millions of fans, even around the world!
My favorite songs are:
- Minsan - listen to this song! It's one of their best songs EVER.
- Spoliarium - I love the artistic touch in this... pun intended.
- Alapaap - a bit controversial during its time because Senator Tito Sotto wildly accused it to be a song about "drug addiction". Whatever Tito Sotto, whatever. You're such a loser. LOL.
- Tindahan ni Aling Nena - my favorite song in the world!
Fun to sing-along, especially when you're drunk.
and many others. ^_^
So what are your thoughts on Eraserheads? Share and be heard! :)

They're among the best. There are the likes of Yano, Teeth, Rivermaya, Introvoys, Afterimage and many others who made an impact during the 90's or 80's. Those are the bands that I grow up with so to speak. I think those are the times when OPM bands rule. But it was eraserheads who made the most impact, maybe because it came out with songs where most of the youth can relate. Maybe that's the reason that no matter how many bands Ely come up with, it just can't surpass the fame eraseheads had because it has become a name of itself which is greater than all eheads band members combined. Cheers!

Yeah I think too they are the best in the OPM band history that ever produce here in country thats why they have been compared to The Beetles of America. I become an avid fan of them too and collect their albums hit songs.

I think Eraserheads is one of the greatest bands here in the Philippines. Their music has also played a vital role in my youth. It's just sad that they broke up. I didn't even get to see their reunion concert which is even more depressing.
My favorite Eraserheads songs are:
Ang Huling El Bimbo
Fruitcake
Poor Man's Grave
Minsan
With a Smile

I was one of those people who went gag over Eraserheads. I loved all their songs. I remember those days when me and my classmates were arguing what's the best song of Eheads and some said it's the Tindahan ni Aling nene while some went for Alapaap. Well, for me, they are all good songs.

i grew up with Eraserheads, and i think that most Filipinos especially the youth.
their songs became a vital part of my teenage years. Eraserheads i think was the very first Filipino band that introduces the kind of genre of music that inspires the rest of the band here in the country.
"Minsan" is one of my favorite E-Heads song, together with "Huling El Bimbo", "With A Smile", "Elisi".
Even though Eraserheads is already disbanded, Eraserheads will always be the icon of world class Filipino band, that not only play good music but play to the hearts of the Filipino audience...ROCK ON!

I was a crazy fan back then. I clearly remember Ely's voice in my head really.
Their songs still gives me the chills and some of their songs remind me of my high school crush
I like them so much and the industry seems to be not the same since then...not that other artists' songs are bad but they had a certain quality about the songs they dish out...

Yes they really are. No doubt. They are the beatles of the philippines. and why we doubt them? if you live in the eheads era, you'll all know how they dominate the OPM industry. Hit after hit, album after another successive album.

Hi... I'm a big fan of EHEADS and I loved almost all of their songs because it touches every heart of the Filipino. Their songs are all original and as a fan, I admire them for not borrowing songs from the other writers. And about their musicality, I think they are very brilliant and flexible coz their songs did not stay on one tune compared to the other artist that the tune of their song is similar to the other songs. They also tries to mix things so that listeners will never get board while listening to them. And I'm agreed that they are the Greatest Filipino Band but... only on their era. We cannot compare the EHEADS to the Juan de la Cruz Band. Both bands plays different music and different ideology. But for me, EHEADS will always remain EHEADS as my no 1 band because they are the band of my era.
