All fingers and toes crossed I should be getting a private cleaning job which once word by mouth gets round should hopefully lead to more work, doing cleaning/walking dogs/sitting with old folk etc, really anything apart from ironing. I thought it may be nice to actually call myself by a name and then if people wanted a recipt I would give them one, would also help as I also do some freelance market reserch and am classed as self employed so thought it may be an idea to use a name to display my services by.
Many thanks

Hi Anne, I haven't looked to see what other suggestions you have had so far as answering from email but A is the first letter of the alphabet if you are going in the phone book etc so something simple like Ask Anne in bold and then underneath the Ask Anne logo Domestic Services, Dog Walking, Housesitting or Just Company to the Elderly. Wishing you success. Huggles. Ellie :D

How about "Handy Anne", I feel like it is really catchy, and personal. Of course that is only if your name is really Anne.

How about Houses made into homes, by Anne. Give you home a special touch by Anne.
Let Anne do the things you can't get to. Anne will give you a break house keeping, dog, walking, anything you can't find time for. This is the best I can do for you, maybe you can put some of these to good use. One last one, Need an extra hand call Anne

what about A helping Anne?
then you can put a short list what service you provide
then contact info
if the list is too long, then contact info can be put in the back of the card

When I had my own typesetting business, I didn't use a company name. I just put my own name at the top of invoices. So I guess I'm not much help, but whatever you decide, maybe put Services at the end?

Oh!! word by mouth for job is effective. I had experience that kind of thing. I am doing alteration with one of my friends and she spread out the news to her friends that I am doing alteration and all of a sudden I gathered customers for alteration just by word of mouth. I do not have a problem of having a name to put it on the receipt because my customers don't ask any receipts.. They are just friends around. I know someday when this business will expand, I do need to have a name for this. Good luck to your job.

Hey anne! I think that is wonderful! I wish that I could do
something like that too! But, I am not well enough to do
that kind of work anymore! I can't bend and clean like I used
to! I have enough trouble doing my own apartment's cleaning!
I do think you should think of a name for yourself and
maybe make up some kind of cards so you look like you are
very professional! And maybe make up some type of list of
things that you will do and put them into a flyer and give
them out to the people that you know or put them in places
that people will see them! You might find you have too much
business to handle!

I'm not really good at coming up with things like this. Sorry I can't be more of a help. I hope you find a name soon. Good luck.

those kinds of jobs are listed in the papers. Also send out application to the schools and the businesses in your area, they need cleaning staff too. I wish you luck hon.

Hi Anne. You have posted this message a month ago. I hope that your business is blooming and that you have more request for cleaning /walking dogs/ sitting with old folks. It is a time of economical distress so one has to be inventive how to earn money. I hope that youa re doing well.

Actually there's no need for a different name or whatever.. Just something simple, and easy to remember ^_^ Just like what u are planning to do, name it after all the types of services u are gonna provide ^_^ Maybe u can try your name, and u need not use, Anne, at all.. hehe ^_^
But for all those houshold type of services, it's always better to use one's name for it, since it need not be too formal, and yet it's friendly enough ^_^ Let your name, be a household name on its own.. hehe ^_^
