Hi mommies out there! I use tide powder in our clothes. Eventhough it costs much compared to other detergents, I can say that it is very effective in removing stains and it leaves a pleasant smell in our clothes. So what about the laundry soap or powder you are using?

I usually buy Xtra or Sun detergent. I only buy Tide if it's super cheap. I love the scent of Gain but no the price.
And now that my son has a skin condition I have to switch to dye & perfume free I love my downy!

I have used everything from the expensive to the cheap. The best laundry soap that i have used is arm and hammer with fabric softener in it. usually the pink lid.It smell really good and cleans your clothes wonderful. What's so funny about this is, when my husband sweats while he's at work, all the guys tell him how sweet he smells.lol. He just laughs and says, it's the laundy soap.

Hi Niah! I used to use Tide, but it got too expensive for my budget. I have been shopping at Walmart for years and finally tried Xtra Detergent. I love the smell, and it gets out all the stains that I throw at it! I think it really saves me a lot of money, so maybe give it a try!

i use another brand of detergent that the same company which produces the detergent you mentioned also make. they have a cheaper version for your brand. actually, as being a cheapskate is my sport, i learned that the guideline to a good product most of the time is not the brand but the comapny that produces those great brands.

I have used the Tide powder before and while it really does smell pretty good I think that I might have had some sort of allergic reaction. I don't usually use too many brand names as a rule.
Some of those brand detergents seem too strong and I need t be on a budget anyway.
My family tries to stick with the brands that are a little less expensive in price and I enjoy using 2x concentrated styles of detergent when I can.
I use cold water much of the time and sometimes it is hard to see the bubbles in my washer no matter what detergent I use.
It all comes down to trying to save money I suppose. And that is probably something a lot of people need to do now a days.
The clothes come out of the washer smelling pretty good most of the time and that is all that matters.
