I"m a SAHM and I homeschool my kids and I babysit for a two year old and I'm still often bored out of my mind. Like right now, school is done and the little one is napping and my kids need a mommy break, we spent 5 hours doing work together. So how do other SAHM's pass the time, oh and my house is clean already too......

Wow!!! It sounds like you are a very organized person. I have often thought about homeschooling our kids but was always afraid that I wouldn't be able to handle all of it and the house. I would love to hear how you get everything done, it would be quite inspirational for alot of people I am sure! Back to your discussion....to fill my time I usually cook or bake, sometimes I read and sometimes I go on the computer like now. Again, it sounds like you are a great mom.

A great bored mom. LOL. It's not as hard as you think really, I'll put away laundry while the kids complete a worksheet, they help with all the chores and stuff so it saves time and I stopped being a perfectionist, my house is clean, the sofa may have dust under it since the kids vacuum more than me, but really does it need moved every other day to sweep? once a week really does work. Same with their rooms, they don't make their beds well but they are made, the dust around things rather than under but it's done, which means that once a week or once a month i do something really well and let them handle the rest. Unless they are doing school work, if I'm cleaning or cooking so are they, so stuff gets done fast, we're a team. In 6 hours, we can have breakfast and lunch, clean the house and get an entire day of lessons done, leaves a LOT of free time. The kids have learned quickly that by working together we all get to do more of what we enjoy, and this leaves our nights free when my husband gets home for family time it's the hours from 2-5 that I just sit here going stir crazy. And not every day is the same some days we get done a lot earlier.

I know how you feel!
Currently I'm taking a First Responder class (a 3 month class) to be on the volunteer rescue unit to help out our community. So right now all my free time I spend studying. But when class is over I know I'll be bored out of my mind as well. I need to start now making of list of things I want to accomplish. Even now about once a week I need a break from studying so I will sew or scrapbook or stamp cards, but to do something completely different and make progress or complete something.
Just today I've been thinking and here's my to do list:
Sew together a quilt (I have to blocks completed)
Learn how to use my 1 year old digital camera. So much more I want to know about my camera.
Start a new quilt for my husband.
Scrapbook my wedding album (ummmm we'll be married 10 years this fall).
So just right there Should be enough to keep my busy for the rest of this year if I'll just do it.

I do a lot online and play some computer games as well, but often it gets rather tedious, I seem to have a lot more free time than I should, maybe just because I spend so much time multi tasking and just getting it all done that about halfway through the day the kids don't want to hang out with me anymore and there isn't anything left to do.
