If you're trapped in a traffic jam, don't fret. Driving is still a wish of many people in this world. If you're bored with lessons and exams, remember that many poor children haven't been able to go to school for years. If you're heartbroken, please think of the ones who never know loving and being loved. You regret your short vacation. You're still lucky, there are women working under hard condition for 12h per day, 7 days per week in order to raise their children. You feel lost and wonder life means? Think of sick and deseased persons who know well that they don't have much time to live, and don't have time to ask themself this question. You feel horrible of being cheated. In fact the cheaters are more pitiful than you.

The point is simple : you shouldn't complain while there are many people less lucky than you still live well

You are so right! I think of this any time I start to complain. I am lucky enough to be born in a country where we are very fortunate. My sister has traveled outside the US in South America and Mexico and seen much of this first hand. I am thankful to have a car, running water in my house, windows, a bathroom, hospitals, and the list goes on. It doesn't stop me from complaining, but it does help me feel thankful about my situation.

Love the title of your discussion. And I do agree with you, however some different ideas came to my mind after reading the title. It drives me crazy when people complain about something, but then do nothing to change it. For example, being in debt or even other things that are simple. I listen to my friends complain about different things and sometimes I do tell them what I think. "Well if you don't like it, would could you do differetly?" Then they say well that would work because my husband wouldn't really do it. And the conversation becomes a vicious circle. But I usually move onto another topic because I know it's a losing battle and I hate wasting my time that way. Anyhow, thanks for the reminder. I've been complaining about a few things lately too.

I totally agree, there are people out there living in mud huts with hardly any food, no warmth, no education, etc. I'm thankfull for what I have because someone out there is someone a million times worse off. It makes me sad sometimes to think of those people but until their government sorts themselves out, there is nothing anyone can do. I'd love to go out to their contries with a charity and help build houses, schools, etc to help these people have a better life.
