What is the star with number that appears alongside the username

I am a relatively new myLotter.
I can't figure out why some users have stars with different numbers on the left of their username that appears in the discussions. Does it have anything to do with how others rate your postings?

Welcome to the mylot......
When you will post hundred stuffs here you will find star beside your name. The no. on the star is Dependant on the informative nature of your posts. It means that each one of your posts are evaluated by members. You must have seen the sign of + - and ! beside the posts.... So keep posting and be informative....wait for the century and you will be a star here on mylot......
