hi everyone.. my wife is now 6 months pregnant and today morning she has pain on the right side of the abdomen. Doctor scanned though ultrasound and found she has got appendicitis and the state to be ruptured. Doctor gave antibiotic injections 3 times and told that she will continue another 3 antibiotic injection dose for 2 days. The ruptured appendix seems to become now some dormant mass which is not life threating as per the doctors saying and which can be removed later after baby delivery. I do not know how far her diagnosis is right but just want to know if she is correct. I have read and heard ruptured appendicitis is life threatening to both baby and mother during pregnancy. Iam in very much tension right now. Doctor insists that its not appropriate to go for surgery for appendicitis at this stage as it can trigger labour resulting in premature birth. Could you all pleaseeeee let me know how my dear wife can be protected now.
Thanks a ton.

My mother had appendicitis while pregnant with me, and had to have to removed while she was awake during surgery. Get a second opinion.
