A friend of mine always ask me to go to L.A. fitness with him after work. I went a couple of times with him, it was nice, and there were many workout equipments there. I like to go with him, but not on the everyday basis. Sometimes, I got really tired after work. I rather take some time to get rest, or taking a nap.
I admire his enthusiasm, and I would like to go sometimes. But I also need to handle my own business after work too. Hope he understood my situation.

I once paid and joined up for a six month gym membership. In the beginning I was pretty excited and made the effort to go 2-3 times a week. But soon I was finding it hard to find the time to keep going so often but felt so guilty because I had paid so much money in advance to join up.
I am sure your friend will understand. He probably just wants someone to workout with and I am sure that he will not take it personally if you explain that it is not really your thing but you do appreciate him asking.

im the same. i went to the gym and paid for membership hoping that if i paid upfront i'd be more motivated to stick to it knowing i have to get my money's worth. after like 2 weeks i stopped i just found it so much more convenient to have a nap. i work in hospitality and let me tell you all those late nights make u forget about any weight problems, not that im overly large or anything but just the 'getting healthy' part of going to the gym seems appealing
