Me and 3 friends will be spending this weekend together at a scrapbooking retreat. Actually one of those friends is my oldest daughter, kinda the best of both worlds. I'm not married at the present, and I live in another state from the rest of my family. But I don't think, even if you are married, that there is anything wrong with spending a weekend, or even just an evening with the girls. Just as I don't think there is anything wrong with a husband, b/f, etc having a night with the guys, going to sports or playing poker or whatever.

I like spending my weekends with my family - whenever I can go back home in the province. My friends and I have pretty much the same traditions - we don't spend Sundays together because that's a family day for all of us. But we wouldn't mind spending Saturday afternoons together every now and then, as long as we don't have anything planned with out families :) Thanks for the response on my discussion!

Hi oyen, That's cool! I know it's really in our culture that we are so attached to our families and that we love to spend our weekend with them since everyone is off from work!

I just love to spend my weekends at home on the computer, this is what I do all the time now and I love it. I used to run out with girlfriends but now I am too sick to do that anymore.

It has become a habit in my family that every weekend we will gather in my mum's house. Since I come from a big family, our weekends will see a big crowd from the adults to the children. This is a happy family reunion every weekend.

Most of my girl friends here at Japan has kids so they spend their weekends with their family or child. I go out with them during our free time, it does not matter if it is a weekend or not. As long as we are not that busy for the day we go out. Eat out or watch movie or sometimes we got to the suprmarket together. Or simply sit at the park

Hi checapricorn~ Well I don't have any family so I guess that would leave me out of spending time with them! I wish I did have family because that, of course would be my first priority. I do sometimes spend time with my girlfriends on the weekends. Or there are just times that I spend time alone. Since I don't really have money to spend to go out it is hard to really go out and do things. So I keep myself entertained at home. Once the weather gets a bit warmer then I can at least me outside walking or just sitting around the neighborhood and I will at least get to see people again!

Hi Opal, that is one of my reasons also not to go out often with girl friends because it means spending or money! I am also looking forward for the spring or summer in that way, I can roam around the neighborhood while hubby is working!

Hi che. I don't have much friends here in Sydney. The one and only close friend I have here doesn't have much time to hang around with me on weekends because she's a student and working too. I love spending weekends with my two kids and hubby. Back home, I used to be the same, I preferred to stay home with my parents and family.

I love to spend time with my friends. What we do is have girls night out diner and a movie nights. We maybe have one every other month or maybe even just 3 times a year. we picka movie we all want to see. One friend is a Viggo Mortensen lover so we usually end up at least once a year seeing one of his. A person can see there friends and still keep time for family too.

Well, since my husband and I both work days unless it is an evening after work going and doing something the main time we have to spend together are our weekends. For the most part we do often spend it just the 2 of us, but from time to time we will find some friends to go do things with as well.

I have a number of female friends, but they all live out of town. LOL We do get together occasionally, though. Last month I went to Ohio to visit them, for one's birthday. There were four of us, and then a whole bunch of the birthday-lady's friends and family. It was a load of fun, and we are going to try and do that once every year atleast.

Hi che, I like to spend my weekend together with my hubby. I seldom spend this precious time with good friends unless any of them is going for abroad study or having wedding ceremony. Usually my friends and I have our respective weekend activities together with the family members. If my son comes home on weekends, three of us would then spend these happy hours the whole day. We will join our family gathering in every other week in my younger brother house. Happy posting and have a nice day.

Hi checapricorn, We do both, but since my daughter is 17 she is now spending more time with her friend. When she was younger it was always the family, we did a lot of things together. Now it's time for both my husband and myself, and we still continue to do our family things. Like next weekend, she going to a concert in Vegas, I'm going with her, she going to be with her friends and I'm hanging out with my oldest daughter. I'm sure once she graduates, we will be doing more family things, right now it's all about her friends.

Hello checapricorn, I am a homely person. I prefer to stay at home and be with my family. I don't like and don't really have time to hang out with my friends nowadays. So, most of the weekends I will be entertaining my son and attending to my husband. We enjoy being together as a family.

I'd absolutly love to spend my weekend with my girlfried, its just she doesn't want the same. She seams to think that we should see each other a couple of hours per week.
