Frustrated with the rules and regs they don't tell you about when you sign up!

I don't have the right number (200) posts to use the mylot code to add emoticons - but they don't tell you this till you try to use them. I couldn't figure out why my post wasn't being accepted - then the error message came up after a few tries. Hey Mylot programmers, couldn't you just make that selection inactive until the person has enough posts to use it?
Also, I don't have enough posts to be able to cut & paste (500)- this is irritating... why is it set up this way? Is cut & paste considered to be something that has to be earned also?
Don't mean to complain, but I guess I am...

Yes, it took me a while to realise what myLot code was, and that I couldn't use them until I'd reached 200 posts! Guess it's just something you learn about on the way.
The no cut & paste thing is something that does need to be earnt. I believe that the powers-that-be at myLot think that if we're dedicated enough to make it to 500 posts, then we can be trusted to not plagiarise from other sites.
Happy myLotting!

I had never tried to add them before the other day, and thought they looked cute so... oh well. I don't know how people can be up in the thousands.
I never would have thought to use the cut & paste to plagiarise - I am an honest person. I wanted to change something around in a reply and that's when I learned about it!
Here's one for you :) Thanks for your help and happy myLotting to you too.

You are so welcome! I haven't been on here for almost a year... real life intruded, hahaha.
I still am frustrated with some of the rules, but if you want to play the game, I guess that't the way it is, huh?
I have learned a few things and one of them was how to clean up my "unresolved" posts, which is why you got another best response!
Happy myLotting and thanks again for your help!
