Smurfs - blue or just suffocating all the time?

Are smurfs naturaly blue, or are they just deprived of oxygen? If the later is true then why have they not been relocated, or received any humanitarian aid from people like the UN. This could be a very serious problem that could lead to the demise of all smurfs. What do you make of this?

They're definitely naturally blue because they're always out of breath having to run away from Gargamel and Azriel (his cat). You would think that SOMEONE would relocate them, or at least get rid of Gargamel and that darn cat of his.

Maybe we should partition nations to set up a smurf relocation scheme? Or possibly go to courts for a restraining orderon Gargamel?

That is a very good point, there could be important documentation out there about a smurf missing like, which would definatly merrit further investigation!

Absolutely, we gotta do something to protect the little guys and smurfette and sassette. BTW, does anybody know how the first Smurfs came about? I know Gargamel created Sassette and the other 2 boys at the same time, however I've been wondering, where is Momma Smurf? I think this is the best conversation ever!!!!

You make an excellent point, one which I find myself pondering often. I would think that the U.N., with their blue helmets, would take particular interest in Smurfs.

So how do you think they should deal with this? As you state they should have a vested interest in preserving all things blue. How else could they get their die for their helmets otherwise?

My thoughts exactly. And the only logical reason for the lack of interest from the U.N.

Wouldn't you be blue too if you are an inch tall and don't wear anything other than pants and your voice sounds as if something's stuck on your throat? hehehehe.... Not to mention that they live too close to the ground and live in fungi, I guess that's why they have such skin colors. They can't receive humanitarian aid from the UN since they are not listed as one of the countries or areas belonging to the UN list. hehehe... You sure have tiny air in your brain today. But sure, anything goes here in mylot!

well theres two conditions that make humans blue and given that smufs seem to be roughly humanoid one would assume that the have similar biology. Too much silver in the diet can lead to a blue skin or they may a form of familial idiopathic methemoglobinemia. a genetic condition that used to be common in the hills of Kentucky. Both conditions are otherwise harmless so UN invervention is not required

So it could be that the Smurfs are in fact living on top of a giant silver mine? This could explain alot really....

Well, if the smurfs are blue from being deprived of oxygen, they why aren't the borrowers? I think we can safely say they are not deprived of oxygen. Lol!

Well that's an easy one, borrowers live in the same climate we do and are thus highly oxygenated :) while smurfs live far far away
