Will it hurt you so much if someone asks a dollar from you? I mean is one dollar so much for to give if someone asks a dollar from you so that the person can buy food for a day? Are you going to give him/her a dollar? If someone asks donation from you, will you give a a dollar?

It's nice to know that there are still persons like you you is willing to spare one dollar for the good of one person. Although one dollar is not that much but it could be a big amount for poor peoples like beggars in the streets. I mean looking at them and begging for money for them buy their food, it just hard to see them like that. It's just heart breaking to see old people begging for money to buy food. Thanks for your opinion.

Yeah probably will, whether I know him/her personally or not. There's always this gratifying feeling after a good deed. Funny, I went to the states once and gave this poor guy by the streets $5. A resident who probably noticed I wasn't from there then talked to me and told me it was wrong to give alms coz people will get dependent on begging. That's a good point though, but I guess that's no longer my problem. Sharing a few bucks will at least buy him some cheap food somewhere. :)

It depends on the purpose of asking for that dollar. Since it is for a person's one day meal, it shows that this person needs that dollar more than me, I would gladly pass the dollar to him.
For donations, I normally will take a clear look as to which organisation am I going to donate to. Somehow, I will just have to think twice.
