Hello wondericequeen,
Normally when I fall sick, I don't have the appetite to eat. Everything tastes the same to me. But if I need to take my medicine, I try to eat maybe plain rice porridge and put some sugar in it. It won't taste that good but that is the only choice...

I want a poached egg and some chicken broth if I'm not feeling well, and maybe a nice buttered toast. If I'm feeling great, I will take all of that too, but also a small steak, hashbrowns, a glass of orange juice and...say, how about a blueberry muffin and a glass of milk?

Believe it or not, when I am sick a semi-spicy chilli is really nice, It feels good going down my throat, and the spices in the chilli really help to clear out my sinuses.

Hi there, I always feel all the foods served are tasteless when I’m sick. It seems that I have lost my appetite at all It’s not good if don’t take any food when sick. Actually we have to take some beneficial foods which are easy to digest as well. Hope that this could provide us energy and recover faster.
My husband’s sister usually would prepare some rice porridge for me. It’s well cooked with some chopped meat or fish added to it. The soft and smooth gruel is easy to swallow. Though I don’t have any appetite, I still feel it’s delicious with the appropriate soy sauce stirred well with it
Happy posting!

When I was a little child ,if I have fever , my mother will feed me some porridge with cole. It is still a good memory for me now.
Now I live in the university dormitory and when I was ill, I called my roommate to get some porridge from eatery , but it can't be compared with my mother's.
I am Chinese too and I miss mummy's porridge which is full of love.@_@

When I was a child, my mother used to feed me with orange drinks (Royal Tru Orange) and some biscuits which I hate eating especially when I had fevers. We also eat porridge (lugaw in our dialect) similar to the Chinese congee. Today, we joke around people who drink Royal Tru Orange as it is often associated to getting sick or fever. These days, I eat anything when I'm sick. Fortunately I seldom have fever, unlike before. Of course, this is because I'm already old enough and my immune system is stronger, I guess.

When I am sick. I lost my appetite. But since I want to get better. I drink lots of water. I'm good in drinking water. I would usually have soup. Any kind of soup, hot soup is really good. I don't feel like chewing food if I am sick. Especially if I cannot smell a thing.
