Do you always sit on a dining table to eat ?

My mother taught us to eat only at the dining table. We were not allowed to eat at the bedroom or living room. Only at the dining table. She is very strict on this policy. Because she don't want to follow us, and do the clean up, like food scattering on the floor or on bed. She hates ants, and other small insects that might attract the food or small pieces of food left on the floor or bed. I am a follower of my mother's teaching. But, when I am alone in the house, and I'm using computer, I eat on my computer table. I place all my food on one bowl. And I eat while working on the computer. This only happens, when nobody is around the house to catch me breaking my own rules.

Hello, I personally eat wherever I can eat, whether it is outside, in my bedroom, in the lounge room, I hardly ever eat at the table. But most of the time, my family all eat in front of the Television. Countless times there have been really good movies on a Saturday or Sunday night which we would all as a family watch while eating. The only problem with this is that if you don't sit at the table, you are more likely to spill the food however careful you may be. I have done this so many time, that especially my mum, she gets really sick of all of us eating in front of the Television. So now we only eat in front of the TV if their is something that is REALLY good, not just good. I don't know why, but I prefer to eat where there isn't anyone eating with me. Maybe I like to eat alone, I just feel more relaxed I have no idea why. Probably I can think about anything, I can eat however I want. Hope everyone goes well, have a great day!

Hello krupesh. Usually I eat at the dining table but, there are times that I would eat at the living room or at my room.

I usually eat in front of my computer especially when i have something interesting on my computer. It's much like i don't want to miss a thing so i would bring my food in my room where my computer is located. Sometimes i would eat in from of the television together with my mom and sister.

When a child, I was taught to eat at tables. We had supper when everybody is back home, a family meeting opportunity for all. Nowadays, it is hard to keep all members eating super at the same time, at least sitting together with people available is a good thing for me. I try to persuade my son's family to follow the practice as much as possible. Sometimes, when we have cookies and fruits in front of the TV.

for the most part...dinners have been at the table for the last year....before that we use to eat in front of the tv...and I will do my lunches in front of the computer while I am working...LOL, but my hubbys job use to be alot more busy and he would work longer hours....now that the economy is slower and there is less work he is home always by or before 5 and we eat at the kitchen table now for dinners...hahahaha even if we order out..we eat dinner at the kitchen table. happy mylotting!!

I don't sit at the dining table to eat. I alway sit at the coffee table in front of my tv while eating. So I can watch tv when I eat.

I love to eat sitting in the floor. Occasionally when we all friends get together we use to take our lunch/dinner on the dining table.

Yes. Only during Lunch and Dinner, but, if I don't feel like it, I guess I just sit on the sofa and eat.

I sit and eat at my computer. We all eat at diffrent times so I hate sitting alone at the table. It makes me feel more alone. So I sit at the comp. so I can feel like something is going on around me. Holiday meals we eat at the table usually.

Yes, i always eat my meal at the dinner table. I guess its the training I got from my parents.
