I have been dating my girlfriend for almost a year now. She is a grad student and I am a recent US Navy veteran now going to undergrad. Within the year she will be off her parents insurance and will be an independant. We are both starting off our lives. Should I wait for us to get our lives started or should we use this to grow together by getting our lives started toghther?

A year huh? Well I see no problem with that. I suggest even that you two start your lives together. But remember this, expect fights, disagreements, and those that makes couples break-up, now these things are natural. Don't listen hastily to people says just because of this you should find another one. Because no one's perfect. So when those situations happen, always remember, communication is still the best solution. These are just my opinions though. Hope this helps.

well 1 year is too less a time to decide if you want to spend your entire life with a person. Stay together, learn to live with her and find uot how much you both are compatible.. and then see how things go.. if it heads to a good direction, then pop the question to her.. else wait till things get sorted out
