If Mylot paid you as much money as your work does and the work load also is the same compared to your current job, would you consider quitting your job and earning from mylot alone? State the reasons.

well, i am unemployed and comparing mylot to my previous job, hmmmm, i could do it! some days though i don't feel like discussing anything but i guess there were days that i didn't want to be at my job either. i enjoy mylot because of all the interesting people i have come across. to me, that is an ideal job. i like people. dealing with them on mylot is easier than say, being in a customer service position where it is your job to please them because there are people who cannot be pleased!

Yes! Without even thinking twice! My job is slack at the moment and I am not getting many hours. It involves talking with people and that's what I love doing. I would quit immediately to be able to be here and talk all day long - and get paid for it too! It would be like winning the lottery!

I do not think mylot can match the money that one can get from a regular job. I think it would be quite impractical to quit your job for mylot. Mylot, for me, is not a job. It is a past-time - a place to relax and enjoy.

Well, if that happens, I would definitely consider.

Impractical yes, but if it were possible , I think lots of them would quit their jobs in order to earn while relaxing and enjoying

It is highly impossible for mylot or any site to pay that much to all the members. This can only happen in dreams.Even if it were like that,I won't quit my job.Because I love my business more and mylot is one of my hobbies. If we convert hobbies into profession, then it will not be as good as before. This is my humble idea.Cheers!

Yeah it is quite difficult but I think it can be possible by incorporating a lot of companies that look for people to do related work. Hmm my idea is a little different from yours when it comes to the business part in the sense that I would want to start a business out of my hobby or interests. I want my job to be more like fun rather than a routine or a serious thing. I like to work hard and smart on things that I love and enjoy doing. Cheers!

I somewhat agree with srganesh. I am not sure if someone would invest in a business like this and give its members a competitive compensation.

Well, yes... First of all: .It would be easier to stay at home and make money online rather driving to my usual workplace. .I would be more comfortable working at home rather than a crowdy Office. .I would be able to take breaks from work! hehehe... .I could, well, basically relax at home, all the comforts of home at my feet. Although there is no job that gives you 10$ a month so I'm better of having a job which gives a better amount of income than my-lott.

I guess you get addicted after loving your workplace? You got me in my strike mood. I think My-lot should supply us with a hospitable amount of money!! Money-Mylotting

haha $10 a month regular job lol. Possible where the currency differences are very high. I totally agree to your points of why it would be nice to work at home. But there are certain things I would miss too, like going out to work, meeting people, working with them in real environment , etc.

My job is quite stressful but it does not require me to be glued to the monitor everyday. I like working with a company where i can interact with my employers, colleagues and clients face to face. Will myLot do that? I have seen a few myLot tasks and haven't taken any of them yet. They just seem like they're not for me. I may be wrong though, perhaps i just might have missed out on the meaty ones. But even then i don't think i would quit my current job and just earn from myLot alone. But myLot's discussions are a lot different. For me this is relaxation. Here, i have a choice. And here, there is no pressure. I don't want to call myLot my work. It is a newfound hobby i want to enjoy for as long as it is here.

Personally I would quit my job in a Heart Beat if myLot could ever match what I am making there. But they would also have to match my Medical as well so that could be a hard thing for sure. But overall even though I do enjoy most of the time my job and the people I work with, it would be nice to be able to stay here at home and earn at least what I make working there for sure. But then I am sure at the same time I would eventually go Stir Crazy as well having no real people contact as well.

I will not exchange my day job with other else even if the pay is more than what I am receiving right now. I cannot replace the excitement and the rewards for the hard work and that is saving someone's life.

Nothing is wrong when you decide to quit your job if only you are happy to do it. Nothing is wrong dreaming that mylot will give you the 5 digits salary you need monthly. I think i would not quit my job yet, i think i will miss it if i quit. But im sure i wont quit in mylot too. I can do both. I allot time for mylot even i am busy at work. i make it sure i visit it daily not only because of the dollar earning but because i learned many things here everyday. Additional learnings everyday , and thats a wow in our life. Also, we got additional friends everyday too. Well, i can say, i love MYlot. happy mylotting and to all mylotters. Smile always!

I will not give up my present job for myLot. I joined myLot because it makes me unwind. My reason for joining myLot is the relieve myself from stress. Earning a few dollars is just a bonus. If myLot will become like a regular job, then my real reason for joining will no longer hold true.

I agree that when something is taken as a job, it makes the effort seem daunting. Mylot is considered to be more fun as it doesn't feel like a job.

hee hee Nikky. If mylot will be able to pay me more than what I ma earning now I would lol... but I'd still want something that can be challenging and where I can use every skill that I have and I don't think mylot can pay this much since they also need to make a profit on this website to keep it going and to develop it more... not to mention the people behind this website who are maintaining mylot site and also its reputation If I have the means, I'd still pursue my dreams to go abroad

If myLot paid me what I make an hour at my job and I could put in as many or few hours as I wanted I would never leave the house to work again. Well, maybe I would still go to my job, it is part-time and I work with kids.

Ooh...that would be awesome!!! I would most likely choose mylot over my job. I say that because time goes so quickly when you're posting on mylot. Plus, I really enjoy posting and responding to discussions in this awesome community.

If that would possibly happen, i would not hesitate to quit my job. Being here in mylot is so much enjoying while learning and helping. No site such as mylot that everybody won't regret after becoming a member. You can express your feelings while reducing your stress unlike doing regular jobs which are stressful.

Oh that's a good point about reducing stress. Mylotting is fun and also helps in relieving stress which is definitely desirable.
25 Mar 09
No, I wouldn't. Why? Because then it would be a job and pretty much anything becomes a drag when you HAVE to do it 9-5. You'd have performance checks, you'd have to deal with all the trolls, enquiries, account problems and all the other stuff that's hidden behind the scenes. It'd just be a job like any other. On the other hand, I would do it if it were part-time. Mixing it with something else, like writing or blogging, would keep it interesting and fun.

I think i will not quit my job for mylot ,even though i could earn as much from mylotting as from work. I just dont like to sit before the computer for at least 8 hours a day,and it must be a torture for me to stay long time before the computer & the screen just makes my eyes blur and the chair will make my back hurt……

I absolutely would consider just working for MyLot. The main reason I would consider it is because I love to write and communicate. MyLot fulfills both of those areas of my life. I also like to be exposed to new ideas and thoughts or look at a subject from a different point of view. MyLot also fulfills that for me. A higher pay for quality would not only help each MyLotter but it would also help keep the quality of MyLot that I have enjoyed so much. I hope this answers this adequately. I believe that you should always work at something that fits your abilities and passion. I do not look at the money as much as the experience that I am gaining.
