Of late I would have to say that I enjoy the books written by Lee Strobel.
Here is what is written about his background as stated on page 428 of "The Case for a Creator" by Lee Strobel, copyright 2004, Zondervan, Grand Rapids, MI about the author: "Lee Strobel, who holds a Master of Studies in Law degree from Yale Law School, as well as a journalism degree from the University of Missouri, is the former legal affairs editor of the Chicago Tribune. His awards include Illinois's highest honors for both investigative reporting and public service journalism from United Press International."
I include this because his books appear to be very thorough in the approach to his subject and also written so that the reader is not tied in knots. He has a very detailed background in setting forth a subject properly.
I enjoy "The Case for a Creator" and "The Case for Christ." Mr. Strobel writes many other books but these are the ones I am working on at present.

Thank you for the recommendation. I will see if my library carries it and look further into it.

I aspire to no religion. I am Spiritual. Religion collects money and provides an interpreter between God and Man. Spirituality collects no money, and teaches the student to talk, One on One with God. My favourite Books are "Conversations with God," a Trilogy, by Neale Donald Walsch (an uncommon dialogue)

C.S.Lewis. He has written the best books on religion. The Chronicles of Narnia, although books written for children have such beautiful christian thoughts interwoven in them.Lewis is such a wonderful story teller and you gain wonderful new perpectives on the meaning of Christian faith in universal terms.
