Macintosh or Microsoft?

I've used both, but I prefer Windows. Macintosh is very secure, it's because there's no hacker writing harmful codes for this system, but one day, who knows. The stuff in macintosh is superflous, it may bother you. However, many plugins and useful programs can't be run on Macintosh. In sum, it's for the beginners who have never touched a computer before. Windows is compatible with almost programs, but it's not multi-users, i.e an user is associated to unique machine. Linux is a good combine of these two, it's a safe system, and accept a person to manipulate from a distant computer if he knows the server's protocol. Unfortunately, this system isn't compatible with lot of recreation programs, it's just for work.

Mac can be mainly used for listening to songs ,watching videos, browsing stuffs like that. me being an engineering student find mac to be of no use as there are not many applications for it but by using vmware we can run Windows, linux or other OS inside Mac There are plenty of tools available for Windows and Linux that is usefull for me. there are many virus for mac (Leap-A) and mac systems can be hacked.. windows now a days are more stable and secure and Windows Azure will give new definition to Windows Operating system and linux no doubt most usefull OS for Geeks. i use both Windows And Linux and there are virus for linux too and even linux systems can be hacked so there is no system which is perfect but Windows and Linux is most usefull OS when compared to Mac..

Absolutely I will choose Microsoft. Cause it more user friendly and more popular in my our country. I have ever seen my friend using the macintosh OS, it look different with Microsoft one. So I won't be able to use it if the macintosh OS installed in my PC. Keep post happy myLotting...

Macs are alot more stable and run alot smoother and nobody writes viruses to attack them. However some software doesn't run on Macs, e.g Ladbrokes Poker!

I have worked on both. I like them both. From a developers point, Microsoft is better. From end user perspective, Mac is better :)

Almost all in the Philippines are using Windows OS. We are used to windows operating. Most of the installer we used are windows compatible only. There are only a little Macintosh user here in my country because it is quite expensive. I do not know about Macintosh but I have heard that they are best in multimedia editing, It is very advantageous to use Windows here because there are many users here and very compatible for file sharing and exchanging softwares for windows users. There a lot who can do troubleshoot and repair in windows os.

I have used macs. Mainly for entertainment purposes such as movie editing and such. Basically Microsoft for me is like your well rounded player for everything.
