What is the most useful utensil in your home and why?

For me, it's the pen. I use it to write with, of course, but also to pry things up with. When I have to pry up a computer key, it's the handiest pry bar. Then I can clean under the key. When I have to pry open something with batteries, it's my prybar of choice again. When I'm deep in thought, it's chewable and carries 0 calories. (Tastes pretty bad if it breaks though. Yech.) So what's yours? Explain.

I tend to use a nail-file for most of the prying jobs, and have one on my desk most of the time. I don't chew it, but when you split a nail typing it comes in very handy! Yup, I think I have to say the nail file. Brightest Blessings.

That's true enough. I have about 6 of them. And they're all in a place that I can't find when I need one. Sigh. I'm so unorganized...

I have no idea what that is! Could you describe what it looks like? I finally found out what a tea ball was last year. I kept reading about it in books, but I had no idea what it was. When it comes to cooking, A.Lady knows how little I know! Teach me, oh great mentor!

It's a utensil. But what other uses do you have for it?

Hmm, tough choice. I'd say my chopsticks. They are very utalitarian. I can eat with them, put my hair up (which I do quite a bit), pop door locks if they are ever locked by "Nobody", pry open things that I can't quite get open, scratch an itch, push the cat away, etc. Have to love them!
