How come Goofy can talk, but Pluto can't?

I've been wondering that my whole life. Everybody or everything on the Mickey Mouse shows talk, all the main characters anyway, except for Pluto. Why? And, how come Daisy Duck talks completely normal, while Donald Duck has the quacking sound when he talks?

Haha, i was thinking that the other day! My little sister was watching the new Mickey Mouse show and it made me think about it. Not sure why it is, but it does seem silly! It must be for a reason surely though? The Daisy Duck thing i dont have an explanation for either, except id like to say "Cos shes a girl and is smarter" But that is mean, and not necessarily true, i dont really think that! But it is another very good point. Maybe its all just for variety? Donald duck is a much better character in many ways, his voice you automatically recognise, where as with Daisy its more normal and you wouldnt necessarily know the voice without seeing her aswell

That's funny, the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show is what brought it up for me too. I was watching it with my kids. Thanks for the response.
