I have an PayPal account for a few weeks now. They asked me to write my credit card number and my address,as I did,but my credit card wasn't accepted. It was a Visa Electron from ING.
Then I went to the bank and got myself a Mastercard which also wasn't accepted.
What am I supposed to do now?It said there that the credit card was denied by the bank that issued my credit card...

There are credit cards or banks that they do not allow your credit card or your bank account to use it for online purposes. If the credit card has been denied by the bank, you need to contact your bank and talk to the authorization department or security department. You just need their authorization to use your credit card for online purposes.

As far as I know adding a credit card number will not verify Paypal. You must add a checking account to do that.

When I verified mine, they did give me the option of either my checking account number or getting approved for THEIR credit card, I'm pretty sure that's the only credit card you can use to get verified.

Is your credit card currently active? Paypal needs to deduct US$1.95 from it (but they will return it to you once you've confirmed your number). It is important that you have a fund in your card, you can also try using a debit card for verification. Try to contact your bank also.

When I got verified they wanted a checking account number. If you have an account number instead of a credit card number, that might work better. They'll want to put 2 small deposits in your account, and then after you get the deposits, you'll have to log-in to paypal and confirm the deposits by typing them in. I hope this helps you out.
