Day by Day — How I Know God is With Me

This doesn’t belong in Religion. I’m not religious or even spiritual. I do believe in God. I’m not lucky and don’t tend to be in the right place at the right time, so it’s got to be God.
Car:
My car needed major repairs to the tune of $2000. I didn’t have that kind of money, so started looking for a different car that I could afford. I have poor credit and it’s not in my budget to make payments of more than $100 a month or $150 which would be tough.
Here’s what happened: I received a check for $1000 from a friend’s estate. I talked with a man whose friend knows a good mechanic. I got the mechanic’s phone number, called him, and had a friend follow me to his place about 20 miles away. My friend followed me with her hazard lights on because my car wouldn’t go over 40 mph without shaking. Besides, I would need a ride back home. We got to the mechanic’s place; I showed him the estimates I had. He proceeded to tell me what I didn’t need and how he would make the repairs my car needed for $800. Is that a God shot or what?
He did the repairs in January. Since then I’ve taken two trips of over 100 miles each way. The car runs great.
Bills:
I have a lot of credit card debt. I was making minimum monthly payments but not seeing my balance go down much between high interest and finance charges.
Then I was notified that I would have to pay my own Medicare premium each month, which is almost $100 per month. With that coming out of my disability check each month how on earth could I continue paying all my creditors even minimum payments? I couldn’t. Something had to be done. The solution I chose was to join a debt management program, which I can pay a lump sum each month, and my debts will be paid off in five years instead of sixteen. God is awesome. What didn’t seem like a blessing at all turned out to work in my favor. If I didn’t have the reduction in pay because of Medicare premiums, I wouldn’t have attempted to make my debts more manageable.
Those are two examples of recent events.
Is there a higher power or force that works in your life? Whether you call that higher power God or something else doesn’t matter. Please share your experience.

Amen, Rozie. Thank you for sharing your story the other day about the old landlady, the bank and how you were able to get the money.

Thank you for your comments, camo. You have been blessed, even though sometimes the details of them get misty. Same here. Hey, it's a blessing to wake up each morning

I know that god is there and god knows where I am so it works out pretty well for me and god. There was one time when I really needed help and my cell phone did not bring me any help from the quarters that I expected help to come from so I decided to call god. I said, god please help me. Within seconds my cell phone rang and help was on its way. I know that even if god knows everything he still wants to be asked for his help and that is a good thing to know. Cheers!!

Hi joyceshookery, like others have said, you have problems and wonder how you will get out of it, and in the end when you think I've had it, God steps in and all is well again.
I always know God looks out for us

You story is inspiring, thanks for sharing! I do beleive in God, and I do beleive that many of our perceived "hardships" are actually blessings in disguise. I think about a cousin who was frustrated that her bus was running late therefore making her late for work. She was on the bus (running late) when she looked out the window and saw a plane crash into her place of business - this was September 11, 2001. That bus running late saved her life, she worked in the World Trade Center.
Lots of times things happen to us that we bemoan, but sometimes that delay or whatever it is that seems to trip us up, actually serve to put us where we need to be or keep us out of the "wrong place at the wrong time".
Our creator works in mysterious ways.
