My cat is very strange, but I am sure those of you who have read my other discussion on cats already know how strange my cat is. anyway when I'm relaxing and everything is calm and quiet around the house my cat will suddenly start meowing really loud over and over again, until I finally tell him to be quiet why dose my cat do this and dose your cat do that too?

Actually, my husband's aunt had a cat that meowed too loud for no reason. She complained that she could not sleep at night. She asked my husband to see if he could take the cat somewhere to have her put to sleep. We did not want to have the cat killed, and the no kill shelters in our area are full.
My husband took the cat to the vet and the vet would not put a healthy cat to sleep. so we still have the cat at our house. the cat hasn't done any loud meowing, I guess because she is afraid, since she is in a different environment. I already have two cats, and my male cat doesn't like her at all.
she has found a place in the house where she stays all day, and only come out to use the liter box and eat.
My husband's aunt's daughter said she will take the cat, she lives about 1000 miles away. so on April 4th, the Aunt's other daughter is going to fly down to where her sister is and take the cat.

I love my cat very much and couldn't even imagine losing him, but it would be nice to know what I could do to stop his strange behavior because its very disruptive and annoying my cat gets very anxious and exited out of the blue, and he likes to play 24 hours a day and he wants my attention all the time, and he go's into these fits of anger when I say no firmly to him he starts running really fast all through the house and jumping up the walls and growling to himself its very weird.

Is your cat male or female? I ask this because my cat also did that. Turns out the males do this when they are calling for a mate. The just decide that they need to meow at the top of their lungs and they do this to get the attention of any female cat near by. I just got my little bot neutered today and, supposedly the loud meowing will stop or at the very least lessen. If it's a female, maybe she is wanting a mate also... Who knows... The males, as I've been told, do this because of a build up of testosterone. Good luck! I would recommend calling your vet and asking them the exact reason, but this is what I was told.

Yes my kitten does it too!Out of nowhere he starts meowing really loud until i talk to him or play with him. Then after a while he sleeps again!!I think they need our attention and this is their way to say it.It is like they are saying to us:
"Hey get up,i wanna play,i wanna eat...!!"

I have 2 cats one is a meowy cat and the other cant meow. His mouth moves but nothing comes out. When the one start meowing its usually because he wants outside.
He hates the litter box.
