My mom has ducks for over the past 6 months I have fallen in love with them and really wanted my own but thought since I live in the city I wouldn't be able to have them. But, after some checking I found out that I could have them.
So I'm going to try and upload a picture of them but we all know how mylot sometimes doesn't act right with uploading.
I haven't named them yet but I'm working on it and they are only a week old.

I love ducks we used have a 2 acker pond and had 5 ducks.they were so cute they would come up to you and you could pet them and feed them at of your hand,we were pritty upset when we moved into town,we had to give them to our friends that had water.Iam glade that the city you live in lets you have them, ours only allows you to have 4 of any kind of animals and we are allready over that with our dogs,i guess if we sneak one in and no one complains about it then we can have another one.Anyhow good luck with you ducks they are cute and make great pets

That's too bad about your town. My city is pretty easy with everything with the exception of pit bulls, people are only allowed to have one. With fowl we are allowed to have up to 6 but can't have roosters since they crow all day. I hope I am able to get the ducks use to people, they are still so young they act shy.

I have a little pool but the woman that I got them from said I shouldn't put them outside for a while about another month. They really enjoy swimming in my bath tub right now though.

I can totally empathize with you on this as I have 12 ducks myself. I have the mama duck and her 11 almost full grown ducklings. They are now trying to get inside my place! If you want to read about it here is a link to my discussion:

How fun that must be! We can't have ducks here but we have them in what they call playa lakes here in our town. They are man-make lakes & pretty much rely on rainfall to keep them full. They are terribly low right now because it has been very dry lately. There are lots of ducks in the lakes & sometimes we feed them bread. They are loads of fun to watch although some of them are a bit on the aggressive side. You enjoy your little ducks!

When I was a kid my dad always took me to feed the ducks at the local park and they were so cool. We have a lot of ponds and we also have Lake Erie but there aren't many ducks at the Lake. I wish I could send you some of our rain, we had a really snowy winter and we have had a ton of rain fall this spring.

Thanks, we are enjoying the midnight chirping of the ducklings and now counting down until they can go outside and live in the "duck house" LOL

They are so cute and in a week the bigger two have doubled in size. My son keeps trying to name them after Looney Toons but, he may end up winning LOL

Hey Zephyr! I love ducks too! I think you should have all
the ducks you can! I would love to have some too! I just
don't have anyplace to put them! We have geese where I live!
But, there are so many that I don't know one from another
and then they have babies and it makes it even harder to tell
one from another so I would never be able to name them! I
hope you enjoy your little babie duckies and let us know what
you name those adorable little fuzzies!

When I lived in the country we had Canadian Geese all over the fields by my house and they sorta scare me because they are pretty big and they do that hissing thing. Last night my 5 year old said we should call them Taz, Tweety and Daffy. If you couldn't guess the loves the Looney Toons lol

Hi! I know this discussion is old, but how did your ducks do? If you don't have them anymore, did you get any more?
