How do you call you kid other than honey , sweetheart?

I am not a parent - I am too young to be! But here's my knowledge of calling your kids. I've been called names (by both parents, aunts, uncles, and grandparents) sweetie, boo, honey, little cheeckums, cutie, sweetie, baby, girly, princess, BoBo, little fart/monster/cookie monster, and more that I can't remember. It's playful and fun to change up what you call your kid. For example, your child will always be your "sweetheart", but it's fun (and may make them laugh) to call them goofy names - like goofball, for example. Just make things up as you go. but remember that there's an age when a child is growing up and doesn't want to be called a pet name - they want to be called their own names, because they're becoming their own people. Watch out for this. But once your kids pass this mini era, calling them "sweetheart" is totally okay. I am 19 and prefer these names - it reminds me that she still is my mother and that I am sweet :) So my advice is to just go with the flow. Whatever "feels right" at the moment is good. It doesn't have to make sense. Being called "butter" because a child spilled butter is perfectly acceptable - if they like it and laugh. Hope that helped a little :)

I guess I'd call them baby or honey. It's already in my system. It's really cute to hear yourself calling your son or daughter "honey" and then they come running towards you.

I call my kids by there name or there nickname.

I often call my kid infant name or in chinese "baobeier", I take him as my sweetheart. Sometimes I call him directly "good baby", he also like. Along with his grown up, I begin to call his systematic name include surname and last name, cause he feel he's grown up,not be a child. Happy mylotting.
