Could your child go to sleep by himself/herself?

My son nearly six years old, he is clever boy. But until now, he couldn't go to sleep by himself, he always ask me to accompany with him. Every night, I must go to bed with him, tell story to him or talk to him for a short time, and then sleep together. I often told him he has been a boy go to school, he should go to sleep by himself, but he can't, he dare to that. What shall I do? Could your child go to sleep by himself/herself?

haha,many children like to sleep with mother.I think it is not a problem and as the time goes by,he could go to sleep himself.To accompany your dear son to sleep is very happy,I guess!Good luck!

My son also can't go to sleep by himself, he always ask his mom and me to stay with him and go to sleep with one of us. No way, I think he will be ok along with his age grown up. He also go to sleep too late, that's make me headache. Happy mylotting.
