As we know, now netbook becomes more and more popular for its low fee and convenient.
Just like other newest products, there still have many problems, such as,the short time the battery stay with, the low speed they run.
would you mind, and would you buy?
p.s. netbook is a kind of notebook, which are designed to surf internet mainly.

If you want a NB for games, you should buy one with high speed processor-CPU, and larger memory bank, and also good main board. the speed depends on the every part of the computer.
For the battery, I have a suggestion, If you use the NB at home or in the office, you'd better remove the battery, and power it through the adapter, which will helpful for your battery with a long life.

yeah I can't agree with you more.I always forget to remove the battery when using my out-of-date notebook at home. Some said you can only use NB's battery for less than 300 times. Is that correct?

Hello,
To tell you the truth, I don't really think that Netbooks are actually that good. I think that with their size, they should be able to cram in more features in it, as well as increase the battery life. In my opinion, I don't really think I am going to get a Netbook. Instead, I really want to get the OQO 2+. If you don't know what it is head over to their main website which is www.oqo.com and see for yourself. It is basically like a PDA, except with a 5" screen. It is even better than most Netbooks cramming in a 1.86Ghz Intel Atom Processor, 2GB RAM and either a 60GB or 120GB hard drive, I would prefer this over any other netbook because you are able to fit it into your pocket. And that is the main reason I would want it, instead of lugging along your huge Netbook, you could simple slip this UMPC into your pocket and happily go anywhere you want. Happy Lotting everybody!

i do not prefer netbook because the disk space is too small and some netbooks are not configurable, and it does not have an disc drive.. i still prefer a laptop, because i need much more space, and memory for the work that we do in school.

I am using the HP mini notebook. It is very convenient for always on the go like me and I can use everywhere I go with my wife with her notebook as well. We do not have any problems with our notebook since the battery stays up to 5 hours. We use it for updates and inventory of our business and updates to work as well.

Hi sinokirin,
I think desktop computer and notebook will be in the world in the long furure. Notebook actual don't replace desktop computer since it is low and with a small screen. If usually use it in home, desktop computer is the most choice.
But notebook is easy to take, so some professional and special group must use it. And now, the speed problem is not a real problem, the speed is enough for most of the using.

I wonder whether it is something like EeePC. If so, I am not so interested in it. Since I tried to use it for a short time, so I think I know more about it. Where as my son likes it. Perhaps it's small and light and he can carry it anywhere. I don't think it's very good because I think its keyboard doesn't work so well. It is difficult to type well. It slows down my typing. Besides, its battery doesn't have a good improvement and it lasts as well as the laptop only. It doesn't have a hard disk inside, it use flash storage. I don't think it's enough for me.
I love China

Hi sinokirin! I think it will be tempting to purchase the netbook since it is very low in price compared to other laptops. I think I can consider it despite that the short battery life and the low speed. However if I do have much money to spare, I will choose one that has a longer battery life and has high speed.
Take care and blessings to you.

Since the beginning of my computer frenzy experience, I am fond of desktop computer I love to assemble and troubleshoot computer desktop. I love the idea, "Computers being portable" but it has limit in its computer data processing in terms of budget. If you want a laptop that has specs like gaming pc then it is very expensive and impractical. That is why desktop computer is I choose to be the best computer setup. About netbooks, mainly its purpose is for internet surfing and other similar basic features in terms for computer hardware, it does not give significance to computer gamers and other software that required high end pc hardware which netbooks do not have. But its portabality, small and light has taken the attention computer users. It really depends on the user if the netbook is compatible.

I think netbook is desighed for those who have already got at least one laptop. The problems you mentioned can be solved by replacing traditonal harddisk with solid-state drive(SSD).Obviously netbook is a good pruduct, but for me I preferred PSP3000 much better.
