a 12 million dollar test

theres a company who just intentionally crashed a big huge airplane on purpose to test some sort of function on the plane but they lost 12 million dollars when they crashed it. do you think its worth it? is 12 million dollars worth finding out if new products work efficiently? i dont KNOW......whatdya say?

I guess it's better to lose $12 million dollars rather than lose 120 lives... The way I see it, if it takes $12 million dollars to test the plane, then takes another $24 million dollars to repalce the one that they just crashed to run the business, then they'll make up the loss... If they lose 12 lives to an air-plane crash that they could have avoided, then no matter how well they design a plane from that point forward, their business will suffer due to their "1" accident & reputation that follows it...
