Have you ever tried to challenge yourself?

At the beginning of my first term in college,my feeling was that I had too much free time and I didn't know what to do with it.Sometimes,I went to surf the Internet with my classmates and sometimes I just stayed in dormitory, sleeping. Howerver, gradually,I found that I just didn't know how to enjoy myself, and how to try new things.I made up my mind to experience a new life. One day,the Student Union informed us that they were recruiting new members, and I knew that I would be required to give a speech before I was admitted.I used to avoid such things because I was not talktive. However, this time,I realized it was a good opportunity for me to experience a new thing and I must seize the chance. So I signed up. Several days later, everyone who signed up was asked to give a speech in front of all the students and staff of the Department of Foreign Languages. Before going to the platform,I was extremely nervous. When I was giving my speech,my legs were shaking. It was terrible! However, after I came down,I found that my horizons had just been widened.I realized it was unnecessary to be nervous. It was nothing! In the interview that followed,I was very relaxed and talked freely.Though the desicion hadn't been made yet,I was sure of myself. I have learned from it that by taking more active and positive part in activeties,I can experience my campus life, which is really colorful and interesting, rather than boring and dull. As long as we are brave enough to try,our life will be more diversified than ever. What about you?Have you ever tried to challenge yourself?

Yes, I challenged myself to finally learn to drive and to learn to swim and failed at both of them! I was too nervus driving and every time a car was behind me, I would pull into someone's driveway, so that was out! Then I wanted to finally learn to swim and after years of being out of water, when I jumped in, I discovered I didn't have to learn to swim because I've gotten so big and fat, I just floated! my boobs popped up and under my arms and acted like water wings!

I think there's another challenge that's you have to overcome the nervousness during driving. My father has been dirving for over 20 years and he told me that the best way to learn is just driving on the road more frequently.Nothing is impossible as long as you keep practicing.Good luck to you.

I love intellectual challenges. When I was in College, am very active to different Organizations. Other than that, I was able to finish College or my Bachelor's Degree in 3 years which is supposed to be 4 years. Aside from the usual subject load for every semester, I will take advanced subjects which I could not remember how I was able to convince my College Dean taking over load subjects. Until, I never realized that am already graduating on my third year. ...I made it. I have a strong personality. My friends would always take whatever I say. I usually love to converse with older people rather to younger ones because sometimes the young ones can't understand me. While the older ones would love to discuss things with me and most of them would say that I do not talk with my age. They would compliment me with words that I talk maturely and with sense. Besides that, guys are getting intimidated. Talking to older people is a challenge to me because they know more and experienced, yet I could manage discussing everything to and with them.

You are quite different from your ages.I think a good personality can help one make progress in life.Talking to old people also help you be more mature and experienced.Just insist on it.

honestly, i have the same feeling with you before at the start of everything in college. But I would disagree with you saying that only those talkative onve have the confidence to discuss things infront. Your very much wrong-way back when i was on my fresh man...there are lots of us in the class who seem to be confident staying in from(those talkative once if may you)..but you know what see was that even though they may have guts to talks about things im am not impress with the content of what they are saying. I was more into being amazed with thse once who talk less but when infront the audience a orator is born you may conclude... But well to you i am happy for you atleast a new perspective for doing things adds up your interest. With your question,,, i always challenge my self-everyday...simple..just ask yourself can you wake this time or not, can you control not eating burger(my fav)...and all stuff...hehehe Happy myloting!@!!
