My opinion . . .it IS Merry Christmas. Christmas is a Christian holiday, why should we have to break for other religons needs when they don't fo it for us? Just like, it's Christmas Tree, not holiday tree.. . . christmas break, not holiday break . . . All the other religions in this world have their own independent holiday and we aren't offended. MERRYT CHRISTMAS!!!!

My family and I say Merry Christmas. However, if someone was to say Happy Holidays I'd say it back to them it never offends me. But as for retail stores you get all kinds of people of all religions shopping so saying Happy Holiday's covers all areas.

I personally say Merry Christmas to people and have for years and will continue to do so... however if someone wants to say Happy Holidays I just say Merry Christmas to you to...If someone wants to say Happy Hannukah.. its their choice I think we should be allowed to say what we want to say without being made to feel bad...

There shouldnt be a correct, well wishes from anyone should be cherished, no matter what the essence behind it is.It's not like someone is threatening anyones intelligence or territory, unless they let them thru their own prejudice.

I think Happy Holidays because Christmas is not the only Holiday that's celebrated during this time of year! There's Hanukkah, Yule, Kwanzaa, New Years, ect... So Happy Holidays covers everything - it's about respect.

Merry Christmas for sure,...... I would go with Happy Holiday as this is what some smarty Politicians are trying to change it to here in Australia so no-one is offended....
