At times, there are some moments, situations, events and happenings, which one wishes that it should not end at all, one enjoys so much during those moments and one feels so engrossed in it that he/she wants it to continue and go on and on………However, it is said that every good thing comes to end, so every happy moment and event come to an end against our wishes. For example, if you happen to meet one of your very old friends after ages and you had good relations with each other, you would wish that your meeting and conversation should go on and on or if you talk to someone dear to you after a period of time, you wish that the conversation should not end abruptly because there are many things to share between both of you. What are those moments, situations and events that got etched in your memory forever and for those moments you always wish that – it should not end. Would like to you to share those moments. Many thanks in advance.

Hello deepak! I also thought of that. I even told myself especially when I feel happy that I hope it will not end. But like what they said, in every laughter and happiness, sadness awaits.
There is one phase in my life which I hope and pray it will not end. That's the time when my husband was here. Everything that happened that time are perfect. I even felt that I'm the most happiest girl in the world. I don't want him to go back to United States but we have no choice, his visa expires. I cried a lot when I saw him going inside the airport and I was very lonely, the first month we are away. Thanks to mylot, because I got to switch my attention here.

Very well said Aisa ! I find that you are going philoshical when you say - "In every laughter and happiness, sadness awaits".
I can understand how memorable and happy was the time, which you spent with your hubby. Naturally, those moments were special and you would have wished that those moments should never come to 'end'.
God willing, you will get united to soon, my best wishes are with you.
I agree with you that for persons like you, 'mylot' is a very good source of diversion.

There are so many moments like that in my life; I like to hold on to the memories of those instances when I am feeling sad.
The day I first held my daughter in my arms was amazing and I did not want it to ever end; the midwife in the hospital had to take her because she was born in theatre and she was getting cold so we were separated for a short while.
Holding her for the very first time and looking into her eyes; that is a memory and a feeling I will always hold on to.

Hi! Paula!
Very well said! Happy moments comes in 'small' quantity and we need to cherish those happy moments. Interestingly, times really flies too soon during those 'memorable' moments.
I can understand you would have felt on the seventh sky, when you hold your daughter in yur arms, it would have been one of the most memorable experiences and it is hard to forget that moment for you.
Many thanks for sharing and dropping in.

Deepak there ae many such moments which we spend with love ones friends and family which are very dear and special. How time flies during those moments and we wish that time could come to a standstill. We do wish that those moments do not end, but they do. But if you try and think about it sometimes, good things come in small amounts and that makes you cherish them more. The important thing is we remember them this way and not think about them sadly.

Hey dpk! Yes, of course there are moments in our lives when
things are just going so well that we do wish that they would
never end! It could be just about anything anytime! As you
have suggested it could be a meeting with an old friend or
a conversation with someone that is going so well that you just
wish it would continue on forever! But, unfortunately as you
also said, all good things must come to an end! Isn't that so
sad, but so true! So we must make the best of everything that
is good in life and not waste any precious moments because we
never know when they will come around again! I can think of
many moments like these! I am preparing to visit my mother
whom I haven't seen in many years and she is 79! I know that
I will treasure every moment that we spend together and I
always fear that I may never see her again! And I always hope
that I am wrong! These are the kinds of things that we need
to make sure that we capture and remember and treasure forever!

Hello my friend dpk262006 Ji,
So nice for starting such topic. I have such experience, I would not be able to
narrate in words. But, one day (some 4 yrs back from now), a phone call came, and I
was talking for 20 minutes, when caller asked me to identify him. After long 'clues'
exchanged, I called him by his name, whom I met som e41 yrs back. He expressed me
to meet right that moments. When we met each other after two hrs, he had come from
Canada and he was talking to me about himself. It was just like my dream. moments passed
I never noticed. But I felt so much extra happiness, unable to express.
May God bless them and have a great day.

Hi dpk, I agree that I always wish that the happy moment as well as the good thing should not end at all abruptly. When we are engrossed in enjoying the happy moment we always afraid that time will go by at such a pace.
Yeah, during festive season, all the members working abroad or outstation would come back and enjoy the pleasant reunion again. It is sad that this joyous time always flies away swiftly.
Anyway there is always a hope. We are looking for the coming festive season again. We have to cherish our happy moment if we come across any, for we won’t possess it forever.
Wish you all the best and happy posting.

Yeah, we know very well that every pleasure has a pain. You see the moon may be dim or bright, full or incomplete as well. Every ..... I think this is what we call life. And we have experienced all this every now and then, irrespective of whether we accept or not. Everything still keeps going on as the same. Well we better think of the happy moment and forget about all those unpleasant matter and always believing in tomorrows ...
You are very much welcome my dear friend.

Gathering give you a kind of great feeling and it gives you an opportunity to share your experiences with each other. We wish that such reunion should continue but every good thing come to an end, so does out meetings and we start waiting for the next occasion.

Hi deepak,
It is natural that since every human being is emotional he/she definitely wants that happy moments of thier life should never end. But we know, every beginning has an end and every end gives birth to new happenings........this is life cycle. As in Hindi we say "PARIVARTAN HI JEEVAN KA NIYUM HAI" and believe me these changes are always for good. For example, you are happy to meet you long lost friend because you saw him after long time, but in case he was not far away and was always staying with you, there would be no more excitement left and there would be no such precious moments of happiness to feel and share in your life.
Still I agree that there are some moments which we have enjoyed so much that we always have longing desire for them but surely such moments will never be repeated, like the feelings of first love, the skip of heart beat at first touch of your lover, first time when you become a parent, first time you become grand parent etc etc....... surely sometimes we wish it had never ended.......!!!!!!!

Very well said! It is true that some of the happy moments get 'freezed' and etched in our minds for ever. I agree with you that 'it is 'change' in our life, which is permanent.
However, happy moments/events comes in 'small' quantities and we need to cherish those happy moments. Interestingly, times really flies too soon during those 'memorable' moments. Yes, you are right happy moments like first love, first kiss, first touch of your beloved and the moment you became parent remain permanently fixed in our memory and do not get erased ever.

Hi Deepak,
I have cherished memories about my childhood on the occasion of Onam festival (a famous festival in our native place). The festival is celebrated for 10 days but the last four days are important especially on the second day (among four days). We were enjoying much on these days and when it comes to an end I felt very sad because we have to wait another one year for the next.
There is an end in every happy moment and simultaneously it is true in the case of sad things. Nothing will last long. If there is a hill there should be a valley too. It is the rule of nature and it can’t wait for us or listen for us.

Hello Deepak,
Yes, indeed, there are moments which I hope would never end. Some good things never last though. However, the memories remain. I just love spending time with my best friends, catching up, and we all wish we could see other more often. Things were simpler when we were all young, lol, we had lots of time to do silly things together and have fun. Anyway, we still do our bests to find time once in a while, we are just too busy and some have already moved to other countries.
There are so many things to share...so many happy moments to keep. I know for a fact that things cannot always be the way we want them to be, but what matters is that we know how to appreciate the present as well and make beautiful memories from here.
Have a great day!

Time spent with friends when we were young just cannot be forgetten. It feels that doing something 'silly' with group of friends was really our way to make ourselves feel happy and smile. I agree with you that we must appreciate the present, however, we should continue to cherish old memories.

I had one of these moments back when I first met my husband. We had met on the internet and had chatted for about six months. Finally, he came to visit me and we were able to meet face to face. I was so in love with. I never wanted his visit to end. I cried and cried on the day he had to leave. It was a very hard time for me. I never wanted that visit to end! Of course, he came back to me and were married. We have been married for almost ten years and I still have the same feelings for him. I hope this relationship never ends!

The other side of coin is that every bad thing will also come to an end.
Indeed we need our good moments should last forever but that is impossible. Well, I did give one of my hobby a try of lasting it forever. I am a die hard fan of PS2 games and one day I decided that I will not stop playing for today! Well, for 4 hours it was good but after that I got bored and then wasn't enjoying at all.
The conclusion is that when we try to last those moments long then it becomes boring that is why to make us interested in things we need an end to that or have a break in that!

Very well said! Happy moments comes in 'small' quantity and we need to cherish those happy moments. Interestingly, times really flies too soon during those 'memorable' moments. I agree with you that the state of happiness cannot and should not continue for too long becuase if we do not feel the other side of happiness, we may not actcually realise its actual 'importance' in our life. You have given a very good example to prove your point.
Many thanks for sharing and dropping in.

There are so many cherished moments in life that I wish will not end.
If you ask me about the present, it would be time spent with my kids without any other cares in this world. When I have no other tensions and worries, I love the time I spend with my kids....because I know their pulse and I also know they are happy to be with me.
Before I was married, I was a bubbly person (not that I am not now....it's just in a different aspect now) and would go out and have fun with the family. Song, dance and jokes were a part of our daily life. lol..we were something like a typical filmi Punjabi family. I took all that for granted. And now I miss them....more so for my children's sake than mine.

Some moments in life are precious and so are some people in our lives. And we cherish those beautiful moments and wish that they come to an end. I think, if I ever got to meet any of my good friends here, I would wish to freeze that moment forever. Ideally that would be a perfect moment to sharing our thoughts sitting together. In fact, we do freeze the beautiful moments inside our mind, deep in our souls.
The feeling of it-must-not-end is so sweet because we miss the moment and want to cherish that moment again and again. Had we been blessed with the power to not to let go, would the moment be so precious? I guess not. So sometimes, letting go and letting loose is good. We can live by the anticipation of meeting again, cherishing the beautiful moments together.
I have many such moments in my life, which I wish I could freeze forever. One for sure is the time when I saw my nephew two years ago for the first time.

I think our life is full of moments we don't want to end and then others we think never will..lol..I think my one moment was when I visited my grandmother in California. I hadn't seen her since I was a child. I was estranged so to speak and we had by chance reunited while she was here on a visit to her sister. She flew me out and I can not tell you the wisdom that woman shared with me in the short time we had together.I visited her another time before her passing and I wouldn't trade it for anything.
