"chipmunks" in my speakers

i am having a hard time turning on my speakers without hearing what sounds like chipmunks in them. i have replaced the speakers but i still have the problem. my computer is only a year old. does anyone know what i can do to get rid of this annoying sound so i can listen to music and hear it right.

Have you tried another sound card in your computer? You should test it another soun card device just to make sure that your sound output is in good condition.

Yeah, check your sound setting from control panel, maybe it can help.

I don't think your speakers are the problem. I think it is more likely to be a setting in your sound cards software. It could have one of the special effects setting turned on or a speed increase setting if it has one. Unfortunately I can't give you the specific way to change the settings back to the defaults as every sound card software is different. Hope this is of some help and rids you of the Chipmunks
