Now the question is, is he dead? If so how will it affect the future? It seems like a lot of paradoxes would be created but then the show has ignored the problem of paradoxes due to shifting times already. Young Ben being dead should change everything from Alex being his "adopted" daughter to "moving" the island to killing Locke and most of all the massacre of the Dharma Iniative. So is he dead or does he somehow live which just makes him even worse then he would have been? Any theories?

They should have been back home instantly, and Ben should have been right there with them. Technically, grown-up Ben never existed, and he was the reason they returned to the island. This really hurts my head! lol Also, at the very end, when everything was back to normal on the plane, it was really weird between them! yeah!
