First off I want to congradulate you for your long marriage.
I think that you need to remember all of the things that you do do for your husband. There is a reason that you will never be able to do all of the things that he did, you are a partner in a realationship, half of a whole. Because you love your other half you will find ways to compensate for accident. But you should not feel like you have let him down because you cannot do what he did. You have to do what you can with what you have.
I am sure that you are already compensating, I think that you will find it easier the more you manage.
You have not let him down, you love him.
And yes I have often felt that I have let my husband down, he works and I go to school, and my house is never clean, dinner is usually never ready, and laundry gets done one load at a time depending on what we need to be clean, not what is dirty. But he loves me anyway, and I will keep trying.

Well for me..he is person behind all my success and light for all my ignorance. I learned lot about many things from him which are valuable. Sometimes i feel guilty that i dont know many things, but he encourages me and never make me feel bad.
