The Twilight Movie

I finally got around to watching the movie, seeing as I didn't watch it in theaters. I've read the series of books and enjoyed them very much. Not a real enriching read, but awesome all the same. The movie... killed me slowly. I hear how Twilight fans have seen it "Ten times since I bought it Saturday". I could scarcely get through it once. I felt a lot was missing, somehow and Edward didn't seem to fit... Edward. Bella was pretty accurate but she seemed kinda twitchy. Not that this mattered. I've always said that the books are better than movies. I was sure I'd be disappointed yet I hoped anyway. Am I overly critical or were other Twilight Series book fans let down as well? I admit, Alice was done fairly well and Jasper was funny. It was worth watching. What were your high and lows about the movie?

I have to say that I hated the movie I feel that ion the movie they got the characters right and then they let the lead female cast make changes .. As an author I would roll over in my grave with all these changes. I hated the movie so much that I refuse to buy unless I want to sit there and point out all that they changed, which was 95% of the book and heck they even brought the second book into the movie.. Edward never dropped Bella off at the police station in the first book blasphamus. I'm sorry I really had all kinds of issues with the movie. Unfortunately you posted a discussion that would lead to my rant and I'm sorry...

I'm not a huge Twilight fan but I actually thought it was the opposite way around. I thought Robert Pattison fit my image of Edward pretty well, but Kristen Stewart (or whatever her name is..) There was just something a little off-beat about her performance, or maybe just her acting-style in general. She just seems indifferent. I thought it was a little boring, to be honest, and a little off-beat. Certainly not as exciting as the books! So, no, I don't think you're overly-critical. The books are almost ALWAYS ten times better than the movie adaptations.

I first noticed the movie"Twilight",then saw the Twlight saga.I guess Robert Pattinson in the movie was similar to Edward Cullen, especially his temperament.Actuallly, the movies adapted from books can't show all the scenes as same as the description in books. This movie has such a special charm that you can't help watching it once again.
