I had a phone from Pakistan yesterday. There was no No. on the phone,so I thought one of my friends made a joke for me, so not care more. But when I answered,i was so surprised,he was a foreigner,i was nervous at once.First, I could understand what he said, but later i turned dull and the signal was not well,I nearly couln't understand what he said.It was so awkward.I only thouht when would him over the phone.
After chatting, i was still nervous. To make me feel normal,I took a deep breath and strive to calm down myself. Now I lose my confidence in my oral english and afraid of chatting with my foreigh friends.
How to chat ?How to improve my listening and oral english?

I also had such a enbarrassed experience before.
When you could not listen to your customer clearly, you could say "the signal is not so good that I could hear you clearly, could you pls send me an e-mail, and I will reply soon"
That will not make you so embarrassed as the last once.
Hope could help you.

hi,tengjiajing, i exactlt konw your experience about that. when i was a coollege student ,i accompanyed a litter girl to visit her teacher,a foreigner from a very samll country of africa. i am sorry to forget the name of the country. when i went there,i found myself was foolish,i couldn't understand many of what he said.after that, i felt so disappointed about my oral english, and i told my teacher about that.he said, don't so disappointed .as i am not an english-speaker,maybe the foreigner was also not an english-speaker, then two accent would be the reason for don't understand each other well.

My english is not good so that I can't understand foreigner clearly sometimes.
Today, i had a meeting with two foreigners but i found that I can't keep up with them after 1 hours, so when one of them asked me opioion, I said:"I think we start to had differernt understanding about this question, we'd better discuss more behind the scenes and then have a meeting again." they agree with me. haha
