I hope one day that our lovely country can become a developed or maybe become rich country. Because we have a large amount of natural resources and also the big population. So I think Indonesia just need a good human resourcesto control our natural resource then it will give the best result in developing this country. Now, we know that a huge of good or expert human resource don't get much attention from the government and be attracted by other country for working with them. So I'm very sad too see this current condition. Keep post Happy myLotting...

Any country which grow within can become a developed country. Any quick fix method like dependent upon export etc. will only backfire.

hi saktiyp, your name like my friends in ciao.hehe..intermezzo. well i think the most factor to be success is hope. of course we do hope our country is be better next year. and to realize the hope , off course we have to plan carefully. we have to consider many disturb. we have to pay our owe to other countries and many multilateral foundation, we have to fight to corruption and ineffectivenes in many things, we have to increase our students quality and make stability our economic etc. but i thinks most of the factor to be success is hope to be bentter to next day.

It really depends on a lot of factors, the government, people, laws, resources, political will, infrastructure, economy, etc. I have gone to Jakarta and I love the place, although I just had a few days stay at Bandung. People are wonderful, and I had a nice experience. I hope it would soon become a developed country. Who knows?

There are many factors why Indonesia is still behind many countries. They range from social, economic, politic and education. Indonesia is multicultural and multiethnic country hence there is still tension among different ethnics. The politic situation is not conducive hence, there are more debate in the parliament rather than actual acts.

I like Indonesia just the way it is except people could be more honest in their dealings with each other. I think Indonesia is low on the radar right now and it will be safest if it stays that way. Look at all the trouble that other countries are having. Do you want Indonesia's children being sent off to fight in these silly wars and dying for a cause that is worthless? That goes right along with becoming a developed country.

I hate to break it to you.. Indonesia will never become a developed country. Period. Don't get me wrong, I surely hope that Indonesia become, someday, a developed country but one does not need to take a long time to figure out that there is no logical pathway that can lead Indonesia to become a developed country. If you learn how developed countries in Western Europe and North America became industrialized countries, you will find out that all of them went into a period of enlightenments that revolutionized the fundamentals of their constitutions. Take the U.S. for example, in its constitution they put free-speech as the first amendment and regard it as sacrosanct as well as a separation between church and state. If you think deeply about this, you will soon realize that the free-speech is actually regarded as their greatest treasure despite the fact that the U.S. is overwhelmed with natural resources and has a large size of land mass. The free-speech amendment enables the people to critique the government or to put it bluntly it allows people to voice anything they want without having any repercussions from the ruling government or any entities with controlling powers. This concept of thinking is so pervasive that it really nurtures cultures that have no limit to grow and also trigger millions of innovations in technology and finances. Both of these, the free-speech and separation of church (or religious institutions in that matter) and state, are not in Indonesian constitution. Even worse, the people do not realize the constitution is so lacking of strong fundamental concepts based on rational thinking. I can also go on and on to point out how dysfunctional the society is in terms of culture and educations but at this point I will rest my case.
