Hi there mylotters.
I'm just curious. With the new technology, movies and cellphones, do you still have the urge to read novels? My friends who are fond of reading novels stopped already because they want new stuff like watching movies or just chat in their cellphones. How about you guys?
Thanks.

Well, I have to admit, its been a long while that I have not read any novels already. I used to read novels before. But actually the main reason why I stopped is because I am quite busy with my work and don't have the time to read novels anymore. More so now that I have started with online things like mylot and other sites that I enjoy... There is no more time for novels.

I don't read any novel again. My last novel is Harry Potter volume 6 and The volume 7 I never read it although I have bought it. Because reading all text in the book can make me feel bore and tiring my eyes. So I prefer to watchs the movie than read the book.
If I want to read a book with text again like ebook, I will prefer to read it by ebook reader. But, until now the ebook reader still unavalaible in my town. So I just download it and save it in my computer. Hope one day, there is reseller sell this ebook reader.
Keep post
Happy myLotting...

Way back I used to read a lot of books. But now I must admit that I have lesser time reading books since most of my time is spent in front of the computer. But whenever there are good reviews about a certain book, I try to get a copy of it. Even though I know I can easily find an electronic book on the internet, nothing beats a real book!

Yes, I use ebooks making it easier than ever to read.
I have read 5 or 6 novels so far this year and I am 1/2 way through another one. The books are always better than the movies

I love to read and there's nothing like a good book to nourish my mind. It also gives me a certain kind of lift. Technologies and book are on different level and although, I rely on the Internet so much, I don't think I can abandon books. They're just so much that you can learn from them and it always keep you on your toes. I have a daughter and I'd really like for her to inherit my love for books. I hope kids these days would stop and take time to read a book. Parents should encourage their children to pick up a book every now and then...

Hello there. Thanks for the response. I envy you for collecting so many books now. I had also collections in the past but they were been borrowed by others and didn't bother to return. Now, i have only 10 collections of novels and i'm hoping that i will collect more in the future. I didn't read "mind power and you can win" but i guess its a good one. Enjoy reading and happy mylotting. :-)

I would never give up reading novels, because you can't curl up in bed with a computer or a TV! I read a lot, and when you see film versions, or TV versions of a book, they are very rarely as good as the book - in fact sometimes you wonder if they have read the book at all.

Hello katsalot1. Its really rare to see an adaptation of novels into movies that is perfect. I guess they wanted to have a difference in the story. And i agree to you about the curling up thing in bed. Its really refreshing to read a novel while lying in bed. :-)

I used to still read some novels 3 years ago, but then because theres a lot of works to do for my freelancing and online jobs, I don't find time to do it.
John Grisham's novel is worth end your night. Once i turned the page 1 I should end up finishing it until midnight for 3 days.
Shidney Sheldon - authors for most intriguing novels of all times.
