I posted some of this on another discussion and I wanted to bring it up in a whole topic on it's own. It is just a cultural difference why we think eating cats and dogs would be sick. What is the difference between that and a cow or pig or chicken? A life is still a life. Just because we have them as pets makes it hard to think about eating them, but when it comes down to it it would be just the same. In other countries cows are sacred, and we eat them and never think twice. We could solve both the unwanted pet problem and the hungry homeless problem at the same time and use the animals that are already being put to sleep at animal shelters to feed the needy. I'm being serious not trying to be cruel or shocking. I just don't understand why no body has thought of this as a solution before. I mean I love animals and think they should be treated with respect, but they are already thousands of animals dying needlessly, why not make some use out of their death and feed someone?

your question cannot have one definite ans. Everyone has their own opinion and views. you don't get sick by eating cats and dogs. In countries like Japan Korea, people hunt for dogs. If dog was killed by an accident on the road, the Koreans come rushing to take the dog away to cook it and eat.
Wen it comes to cows, people in most countries eat cows except for hindus as they worship the cow as god. Now a days people don't have time to think about their pets or animals coz they have to make moves in leading their life. Plus now a days peoples minds are so cruel that they behave like animals, to be more accurate , worser than animals coz children murder their parents and vice versa. recently I read on papers that in USA, a couple has been running a baby care center where they abuse kids of age 1,2 3 etc. Just imagine how stone hearted they are..
