Hi there. When I learned about Earth Hour, I was really impressed because I really think that it is a good idea. The message it will bring to us is really great. We should really do this and turn off our lights for at least an hour for Mother Earth. Even one hour of lights off can really make a big difference to our world. I hope that all of us are joining. Lights should be off by 8:30 until 9:30.

Earth is the big round thing that everyone lives on!
Earth day is a stupid invention to make ecofreaks feel a bit less guilty. They think that setting aside 1 hour to turn off lights is going to 'save the world'.

I'm glad to read this discussion of yours.
Is very important and it makes the difference. I think people today consume more than they need, we are really pushed to this, encouraged. That's not only about 'light', but about products as well.
Thanks for putting this on MyLot!

arghf its sad to say that someone said that turning off the lights is a crazy intervention and as well as ecofreaks but for me that event is a help in saving the world..you see we contribute to the global warming because of the "heat energy" we are creating..
using your coffemaker and such also contributes to the global warming..:)

I heard of this before but never got the chance to actually participate. I'm not an "ecofreak" like someone mentioned before, but I'm sure that in some way, this can make a difference. I'll [try] to participate. Now I need to find out just how willing my family is haha.
