Earth hour huh??the day when you've got to keep your lights off for a couple of hours?/.Well, to be honesthere in India, power-cuts are quite common and in the countrysides they are daily power-cuts for 2/3 hours.Even after that ,do you really think i need to put my lights off tomorrow??

He he he, if that's the case, I think we have to have an alternate for that earth hour thingy :)

Hmmm, Earth Hour will help conserve energy, it is but a small fraction of the ways of saving our mother earth.

Well, you can actually have an Earth Hour, if not daily, at least once a month. It helps :)

I did participate in Earth Hour last week. Although I found it a little useless because even though we turned off all the lights, I saw that people watched the television instead, and I myself played games on a handheld device while waiting for the hour to pass.
Thanks for the response on my discussion!

to be honest nope I wont its a smoke screen a one off,
I personally do all the green stuff within my home and business now, so to be honest a one off event isnt really going to have that effect as never heard of it till this discussion.
So instead of one off events lets all help the world by doing the green energy saving steps all year round.

Hmmmm, I think it don't really matter if we participate or not, as long as we do something to save the earth :) But doing such thing as one is real great.

I don't think I will.
I think if we really want to save the world, it should be through daily and consistent activities such as having "green" habit because it is something whose result can be seen in a long term period.
I do not see the significance of doing the "light-off" for one day.
I think it's better that starting today, we use the energy in sustainable way, rather than just do it for one day and then forget about it. It will not bring much difference, I guess.

My mother told me that too! She told me why not turn off the light for one hour everyday. With that, it would make big difference right?

Same here, I'll gladly participate in earth hour. You might want to try to watch the Inconvenient Truth for a more eye opener "_"

Hmmm....You should be more descriptive. I'm not sure what you're talking about. If you could please be more specific, I will then be able to offer a better reply. You have my curiosity....proceed. lol

Ooops, I'm so sorry, I haven't elaborated my post. Anyway, Earth Hour is an international event organized by the WWF, and held on the last Saturday of March each year, which asks households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights and electrical appliances for one hour to raise awareness towards the need to take action on climate change. Earth Hour will next take place on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 8:30pm, local time.
There, will you?

that is tomorrow, March 28 (i mean today, later tonight haha) 8 to 9 pm.
as my way of participating, i will not just turn off the lights but also everything that runs on electricity. also i will try as much as possible to save diesel tomorrow, i won't use my of my car tomorrow for long period.
let's all take our share...it's just a simple step yet a very awakening way to save our mother Earth.
