I do not mind giving away my real name to someone online. I know about the privacy thing but if you think practically, someone sitting thousands of miles away cannot do anything even if he knows your first name. I do not give out my address so I think I am fine with it.

I am using here my real name but I have hold back my surname that is the point....There is no harm in disclosing the real name unless you disclose who are you....Internet is too open to disclose your self and especially if you are woman..........

I would and i have done...
There are a website named Kaixin, which is a communiversity website and has many littel games, such as buying cars, planting and having a house and a slavers. It is
interesting and funny, where i use a real name, and most of guys there do so.
It is sure that i would not give the real name online so often, especially to unknown guys, nickname is better.

On the internet I don't like to share my real name except in social networking sites with friends. When I get to know someone on certain sites and I fell that in my opinion it is a genuine person I tell my name.
