Stupid Cable Company here!! Move a few blocks , & now I lose a channel...WTF???

Hi Ya {{Tyc}}, How are you?? Yeah that's my cable company here, stupid and dumb and a big old rip off for sure; knowing my luck they'll send me a bill for having a channel that according to them I wasn't even supposed to have at my old place; I have no control over what those nim_rods program at the residence's you know? she was such a "rude woman too" guess she was having a bad day, well so was I... I'd love to have satellite someday but there again a few months ago they were doing away with the local channels on Satellite like CBS, NBC, ABC ( main stations to me) I was having to record the soaps for my niece and some of their favorite evening shows and then suddenly the local channels were back, guess they had mega complaints; I would've yelled too!!

Time Warner is the mail cable company here and I know one of our local channels has been running things across the bottom of the screen and heard on the news that at midnight April 1st Time Warner will not carry the local's. Our satellite is still carrying local, thank goodness.

HI Tyc: Yeah that sounds similar to what they were doing to my nieces satellite before they went back to having the local channels, personally I don't trust them but who can we trust these days ya know?

HI OceanZealot: Sorry its taken me so long to get back on here to respond, still busy unpacking and trying to put up my pictures and things in my new place; Yeah I'm sure I called the company and before I did that I even redid the auto scan of tv channels to make sure and also just punched the number in, its no long a part of "basic" package ( the cheapest) which is what I have and what I had at my other place the past two years...ARrrgghh!! Yeah just to get my USA channel they want at least another $20.00+ dollars and most of the other stations that come with that program I have no interest in, (sigh) oh well; I think all cable companies are just a rip off more or less..ya know?

Hi there: Isn't that just crazy?? I see I'm not alone in this battle of the stations, I probably could see/view what I wanted on my computer but its not the most comfortable to sit here in this chair and try to watch a program I used to get; but I might have too; (sigh)! Now if they do away with my Discovery Channel I will flip a major nut for sure; That has fast become my most favorite channel to watch tv on, there are so many shows I dearly love now;

HI Positive: How are you?? Oh My no TV?? AACCkkk!!! I'd go stir crazy for sure; WEll more than I am now let's say.. No, my town has only the one cable service ( small town) but different satellite places but can't afford those either so I'm stuck with my silly cable company; you take care now!!!

HI KellyJeanne: Yeah I called up my cable company its US CABLE here in my little town, but the woman I spoke too was really snarky about it, said I wasn't supposed to be getting that station anyway with the cheapest basic package I Had; I said well I've had it the last two years and 2 months and I only moved a few blocks, she said hatefully to me that the USA CHANNEL was on the higher package, which I can't afford. hateful woman; so oh well I watch too much anyway and I can watch the shows I missed on their websites thankfully they put up video's of their shows but still I did enjoy that channel; and when they sent me my bill the stupid !@!##$%$##@! hateful place is now charging me the next higher cable package which I do not have and am not paying, so I need to phone them as I sit here and type this out; GGRRRR!!!!! I knew they try and pull a stupid stunt like this I swear we have to "examine" our bills very carefully anymore especially hospital bills they are always trying to sneak in items that is NOT part of what we had done ya know? hope you are well;....

HI Kellyjeanne: OH that is awful! That hospital sounds like mine here; did you call them about that and give them a piece of your mind?? I would have!! I do watch some things here on my puter but not for too long, it hurts me too bad to sit here; Depends on how good I am feeling otherwise too; But thanks dear friend; Keep an eye on those hospital bills now...(EG)!!!

OH Corona: Now that is horrible, I'd say you for sure are getting ripped off bigtime! I've never heard of a cable company demanding to be paid up front $200.00 to hook up that's INSANE! Do you get that money back if you move or quit the subscription? and then on top of that you have to pay $50.00/per month!! OUCH! That's way too high for me!! I hope you get tons of movie channels then with that? Good grief!! I had to pay $15.00 upfront for them to turn it on here at my new place, I just moved last week, and I had to borrow that from my Dad as I was flat broke as per usual this time of month; but that $200.00 is REALLY REALLY A RIPOFF FOR SURE!!!

yea i am getting total ripped of not only on the cable but on eclectic and water as well.we have to come up with 200.00 for the electric company to turn on our lights and 100.00 for water.that is something i never thought i would have to pay for come on paying for water that is crazy and then we have to pay 40.00 a month to keep the water on

Yeah everything is a rip off for sure; I think they do that when you are a new customer, they get you all lured in, and then try to get you to upgrade to a higher package; PPFFTTTT!!! Tain't happening!! Old Jan can't afford to do that, those Jerks!!! They need a shaking fist icon on here LOL!! That way I could be shaking my fist towards the cable company...LOL!

Hey Jerz! I'm still mega busy with unpacking and trying to decorate here; will try to answer some emails over the weekend; mostly just trying to reach payout, I've not done that since LIke Jan. GEEZZ! Anyway there is a satellite dish here out back, they are ok with it, I just can't afford their packages and if you read up above you'll see why I don't want their stuff right now, last year they were doing away with the local channels ...WTF??? can you say STUPID??? But after a few weeks they added them in again and you know I love my MAIN channels like NBC, CBS, ABC I'd seriously hurt someone/or company if they did away with them in the packages or CHARGED EVEN MORE TO GET THEM... they all are a bunch of rip off places I think anymore!

HI there Hotsummer: I think these cable companies are just a bunch of rip off's in all towns anymore; I watch too much Tv myself but having neck and back injuries there's not a lot else I can do and I must admit I am highly addicted to ( too many shows) my soaps, and my nightly shows Yikes!!! As crazy as the cable companies make me, I still gotta have it or climb the walls one I guess..LOL!! Good luck to you, and I hope you can continue to get the shows you like with your cable company; I always watch my local channels too and the news; of course all of that too is handy here on the puter too; Thank Goodness right?

HI Opal~Darlin; Yeah I agree, they sure do act like that 100% +++ They have tried to get me to do my phone, and TV, and puter all together too and I have thought about it but now after reading your experience, I'm not too sure I want to do that?? Its all so confusing isn't it? and who's to say it would be better? I doubt it; YEP!! I can SAy M O N O P O L Y!!! LOL!!! AMEN TO THAT!!!

Hi there: I've thought of getting Satellite before, but just really can't afford that right now, and don't really need that many channels , I can hardly keep up with the shows I love to watch now (G)! But maybe some day, for me being on Disability and all the basic cable package is all I can manage, but it still aggravates me that they dropped that channel after I'd had it the last two years and only moved a few blocks from where I lived before; It's mostly my crazy town that I live in here, they are nutty!!
