Hello friends!
Yesterday I saw this message for the first time!
"digest.dll is not a valid windows image"
It comes as a windows error message almost every time I click on some icons.
For example Iexplorer, outlook express, Mozilla....kinda always.
Apparently there is some virus or something on my machine and I dunno how do I remove it.
Please give a helping hand if you already dealt with the problem!
Thanks in advance!

Digest.dll is the internet explorer programming related error.use load servicepack2 of widows xp and upgrade ie.If you are using windows98/me generally this error comes with ie5.5 version. Try to load windows xp with sp2 and check it again.

your file is a corrupted or some program changed it file properties.. download a new copy of digest.dll, and put it on the appropriate folder in windows, to replace the corrupt file.. you can download the file here: http://www.dll-files-download.com/D/2008-01-13/3739.html...

hmmm sounds like a trojan or a rootkit to me... Do you have an anti-virus? If you don't, i recommend using AVIRA PREMIUM, it eliminates those kinds of threats in your computer, i've encountered some errors similar to yours.
I used AVIRA PREMIUM then update its virus definitions, after scanning my drive, the error is gone, and my computer runs smoothly again...
Hope this helps....

I will do a complete scan with an antivirus maybe with avira although I never heard of it. Does it consume a lot of memory? I usually used NOD32 at home but at the office I do not have an antivirus only a firewall, Sygate which until now seemed to be quite good.
