My father walk out on his family.

I need some advise from u guys.When I was 5 yrs my father walk out on me and my mother for another women and never look back.He sent divcore papers to my mother for her to sing.She tried her best to save the marriage but he refuse to and so she sing the divcore papers.He told her that he would support me until I an grown up to get a job.But when time came he leave the country without telling her.Thank god she working so she could support both of us.I have grown up without him and have never seen him for over 24 yrs.Now after all these years he came loking for us ,he ask my mother for me she told him that i am married and have a daughter.He told her that he would like to meet me and my husband/daughter.So we met him and he ask me to forgave him for what he did but it is so hard for me to do that.Because only me and my mother knows the strugles we went through when he left.All the pain and hurt Ifelt all those yrs ago came back when Isaw him.I just don't know if I can forgave him or not.Please advise.
