As a homeschooling parent I'm often asked how to homeschool a child. Since there are so many ways to do this, you really need to look through things yourself. There are many ways to gather this information: books, the Internet and other homeschool parents are just a few ways. However, you must keep in mind that you're looking for content that is well suited for your own child. This is information that you can get from any of these places.

I think one of the best ways to direct someone who is interested in homeschooling is to have them contact someone in a local homeschooling group that handles that sort of thing or else direct them to an organization that deals with this information.
Clonlara School in Ann Arbor, Michigan is one of the best resources around because they allow the homeschooler to pick and choose how they will homeschool.
Their website is http://www.clonlara.org/history
They have been around since 1967 and can give a lot of information to a new person looking into homeschooling. This takes the responsibility off of a homeschooling individual and gives the new person some very good direction on the subject. Also, if a person is concerned about the legality of homeschooling, Clonlara will also be a tremendous help. They have been in court over the years and know the ropes.
