I am in my 2nd trimester. I want to know what I can do about bad heartburn. I drink water and I take tums but sometimes it is just so bad. Does anyone else have any thing they do to help get rid of heartburn? Thanks;-)

Well it is tough to say if this will hold true during a pregnancy, but when I gave up sugars and starches my heartburn went away.

I don't eat much sugars or starches but I still get it. The doctors say it is normal for pregnancy but it feels so harsh. I just hope I can find a way to make it subside. Sometimes ice water works. We will see. Maybe it will get better in time.

The only thing that works for me is Mylanta. Check to see if its safe to take when pregant.

I might try it if I can take it while pregnant. I will have to look into it but thanks for the idea;-)
