I came across this article on Comcast, and this is the print article as the story on Comcast was a video that I can't figure out how to link. How cool is this though? I know that I spend at least 20-30 dollars (approximately 10-15 pounds) on each pair of shoes for my son. If these shoes offer great arch support, etc I can see it being a worthwhile investment. Has anyone tried these shoes? What do you think of them? Would you be willing to try them?

Also, if you have kids below the age of 3/4...you should try Bical Grippers. They are cute little sock like shoes that allow growth and comfort, but mostly traction for the little ones when they are trying to learn to walk. They are $15 or so. They also work as water shoes because they do not absorb water, have rubber soles, and really really cute designs that look like different shoes. They also even smell like a baby and are lightly scented. They are awesome. You can find them on this page:http://www.shopdylans.com/products.php?cat=5

I read about them too, however I am not sure that they would be a good investment. I am not sure about the quality of the shoe either. Kids go through shoes very quickly and having a shoe that fits but has holes in them is not the best idea. I agree that this may be an innovate new step to footwear, however I do not think that the idea has been thought about enough. With some new technology that they could add to these shoes to ensure optimal comfort, then I would buy these shoes for my children. Good luck and happy mylotting.

Great input. Yeah, kids grow very quickly and we all know how tough kids can be on their shoes! Namaste-Anora

I spent zillions in new shoes when the little darling was growing up. And still would. Unless this shoe came in a natural and breathable style then I wouldn't fork out for it, ingenious though it is. We only have one pair of feet and we abuse them horribly. I loathe seeing children (and adults ) in sneakers. which we call "trainers". Wear them for sport, but not out in the street unless you are running along it. I feel strongly that parents that put their children in such footwear should be prosecuted for abuse! Making them sweat away in a little plastic bubble, adjustable or not, seems very ill advised to me. However, if the shoe is breathable, then why not. Does it expand width-ways as well? Feet grow out as well as along. Thanks for the opportunity to rant. I feel better now. LOL.

LOL. Do you know I got yelled at when living in Arizona because my kids were outside barefoot! This woman asked me if I know just how hot the cement and asphalt could get in the desert. I just looked at her. My kids, even the ones from my second marriage (I'm currently married to my second husband-and no plans to divorce lol), go barefoot like me quite a bit. I hate shoes, though I've got some really pretty ones. Once the snow is gone for good here I break out my sandles and wear them most of the times.
And I tend to agree with the entire trainers/sneakers issue. You don't need to wear them unless your running or such. I only wear mine when I'm on the cross-trainer or outside doing martial arts practice where being barefoot is dangerous (we've got dogs that people don't pick up after here in the apartment complex).
Thanks for sharing, ranting and venting. It was most enjoyable.

I would probably try them. My daughter is seven and she outgrows her shoes so quickly, it is so expensive! I wonder how they would fit as the foot grows, can you make them wider I wonder. It would be good if they made ballroom shoes like that; when she outgrows them it's around $120 and she has to have them for her dancing! I do try to sell the old ones but it is still an expensive exercise. I am guilty of allowing her to wear trainers, she loves them and she claims they are the most comfortable shoes she owns!

That's really neat that she dances. I'd like me kids to become involved when their a bit older. Namaste-Anora
