which is Better AKON or NEYO songs

hi, in my own opinion, i choose them both, because there songs were all good and i love it. they have same performance but their characteristics were different.

I prefer Ne-Yo songs better because the beats are better and his lyrics are a lot more relatable opposed to Akon songs, which are basically beats meant to be heard in a club. And Akon's songs fade faster than Ne-Yo's.

Neyo is so much better than Akon, in my opinion. In fact, you probably should even be comparing the two! Akon writes mostly "dance" songs ("Right now", "Beautiful", etc) and the lyrics aren't really all that important. Neyo, though, writes mostly love songs - probably ones you can't really dance to. But I love his voice and his lyrics, he totally IS a "gentleman" (like his album: Year of the Gentleman") and it's really rare to find these days. And plus, Akon has kind of a weird/nasal-y voice that gets kind of annoying. So musically, I don't think we should be comparing them. But if we were, Neyo would totally win. By the way, what do you mean "black singers are getting better these days"?

I am a huge fan of Akon. I like the way that he sings and how he is able to fit so much emotion into just a couple of minutes. If you listen closely, you can easily find the themes that he puts into his songs. NeYo is a pretty good artist as well, but I don't find this songs as catchy as Akon personally. I agree with you to, most African American artists are getting better and better, and the competition that they have between each other makes their songs better as well.
