Hi, I have had one for over a year. I am originally from the USA living in Mexico and needed an inexpensive way to stay in touch with my family and friends. It has worked great for me. You need to have DSL for it to work well, I have friends here that use satellite internet and they have a lot of trouble with echoing and not being able to understand the other person. I have read many negative reviews but really love mine. On hint might be to leave it plugged in all the time, even when your computer is turned off, it seems that if you plug and unplug it alot they don't last long.

I was wondering about this too. I saw one at walmart and was thinking I might want one but I didnt get it because I wasnt sure how it would work. Thank you for asking this.
